People of Nairaland please help me. The AC for my Toyota Camry has packed up 4 times between November last year and Now. In fact I’m already fed up.
The first time it happened I changed
The condenser and compressor , then after two week I changed the compressor again. After two months it packed up used the car for like four months went to someone else he flushed the system plus condenser and we bought another compressor, Lo and behold it didn’t last 3 months now it’s packed up. Sincerely I’m really confused and I don’t know what to do. If you have experienced this before please share your solution.

There is nothing like factory fitted ac, once u start working the AC na wahala for you.

I have had similar experience and my own is leakage of gas. There is nothing I have not done but it still leaks gas

I am now riding without AC with peace of mind until I am able to get a toks car with factory fitted ac

This is what frightens me. What about changing the suction hose. Have you tried that?

I have done everything and more than 6 different technicians has worked on it still same issue

Hmm ladipo sef I’ve been good a lot of scary things about the place.
Don’t go with a mechanic
Don’t talk to the guys that run up to you
Car parking you’ll drop your keys
There’s no return of money after payment
If a part doesn’t work properly you’re only entitled to change it once
Forget about changing it for the traders if they sell you a defected part.

The above mentioned made me have a rethink about going there.

AC is another issue entirely. I've spent so much on my Toyota Camry. Change this, change that! A full Gas filled hardly last weeks.

Driving peacefully without AC now. Tho, I missed that whenever its raining sha . The best is to save up and buy Toks or brand new car. Naija used cars sha must get one issue or another..

This is the solution for AC problems especially with Camry
Be patient and let the ac man remove the whole parts of the Ac excluding evaporator and find out where the fault is from. It’s not enough saying the compressor is bad, what spoilt it will spoil the next one you place in. Most times two things damage the Compressor - Condenser and Suction Hose, to be safe Do not settle for tokunbo parts , buy brand new condenser not tokunbo , you can buy a tokunbo suction hose but you must be sure there isn’t any blockage. Now the compressor, this is where the ac repairers make their fortune, they sell “Worked Compressor” not tokunbo and there’s no way you can know. The best is to go to Amazon or eBay and purchase a brand new compressor for $120 usd and ship it to Nigeria for 20k. You’ll be safe that way.
