I reside around Nkpolu axis.

The diseased was actually shot by the Army this morning, and not Police.

Nkpolu Community organized the protest out of frustration. According to them, they have complained severally to Rivers State Government including Obiakpor LGA and Federal Govt to profer solution to the prevailing flooding of the Nkpolu junction of the East-West Road to the effect that business activities around there have been shot down. Vehicles are sharing only one lane.

The protesting youth resisted the Army from de-blocking the road. The angry Army was supposed to shoot in the air to scare the protesters and not at human beings. Also, some persons sustain bullet wound.

The angry youth in retaliation looted shops around the Nkpolu junction, vandalized parked vehicles and above all, set ablaze a nearby fast food.

I believe This incident could have been avoided, if both parties had exercised restraint.God bless you my friend u know what went wrong don't mind those people saying nonsense

why is that people just comment anything they read online...I am from Nkpolu..nobody took any police gun he was shot on no account..get your fact straight before commenting...and why shouldn't we protest for the bad state of that road its not only affecting us its also affecting people passing...I remember one morning I was going out and a woman driving her children to school her car sank there and people had to go help her...before you comment one more take a drive to Nkpolu junction and see things for yourself...somebody is dead today because of protest nobody knows what will happen tomorrow

As cattle is to Fulani Herdsmen so is land to my Ikwerre brothers. They sold a land and blocked a natural waterway which led to destruction of federal property then they now claimed to be the victim.

Just imagining the state of the woman whose fast food business was looted then burnt to the ground all because she bought a property in Port Harcourt.

It is your Nkpolu people that sold land to the fast food woman. It is alleged that water normally passes through that land then you now turn around to claim victim after the water has destroyed a federal road and flooded some parts of the community leading to loss of livelihood. The community should refund the woman her money plus compensation for destroying her property. The destruction and loss of life today was totally unnecessary.
