Without wasting much of our time, let me go straight to the point. There are times you go wrong against someone, it could be ur neighbour, friend, siblings or even anyone without their consent.
Now, the question is, how do u ask for forgiveness? And secondly, when can ur sin be forgiven?
Main Senerio: How do u ask for forgiveness?
Sometimes u feel shy to tell someone that his or her missing phone or property is with u but right within ur heart u feel sorry and remorseful for ur action but can't directly walk to that person to tell him or her u're sorry. Now, can ur sin be forgiven wen u only ask for forgiveness from God without literally asking for forgiveness from the victim?
Also, there are times u begin to recall many u have offended in the past and maybe u can't even set ur eyes on these persons till eternity. Must u ask for forgiveness from those u have offended before God can forgive u?
Please I need meaningful responses from this great family.

There is no sin that God cannot forgive..

No matter how terrible, or wicked.

Once you associate yourself with the blood of Jesus, your sins are forgiven.

If you cannot see the person you offended, that will not stop you from receiving forgiveness From God through Jesus.

Let's say I stole someone's phone long ago, I can make amends by giving cash back. Maybe double of the amount.. or triple.

The owner might not know why I am doing that,

God surely know.

Innobee99, I would only add that it is not an absolute requirement that you make amends to everyone you have offended. It is not always practicable or wise and people will not always be willing to forgive you.

What you must keep in mind is that all sin is really against God and when we try to make amends with other people, it is to try to fix an otherwise desirable relationship which we damaged by out actions. The fact that our overtures of reconciliation are rejected does not mean that God does not forgive us. If it is possible and wise, seek forgiveness from those you have offended. But whether or not they offer it, if you have confessed to God and repented, you are free.

If you wrong someone, you have to go to that person to ask for forgiveness. Now, that person is under no particular obligation to you even then, and you do not need to wait until you have first been forgiven before you can proceed with your life.

2. Well, at some point in time it will be revealed that you lost the phone right? And the manner of the reveal is bound to have some impact on the relationship between you and the person, right? So, why not do it as soon as you can rather than wait for the person to figure it out and maybe become even more disappointed and maybe equally distrustful of your person?

3. God only forgives those who are first holy and righteous. So, if you are not already holy and approved righteous by God, you continue to carry your sins along with you until you completely unload yourself of them all first. God's kind of forgiveness is not to be compared in anyway to that of men.

God forgive those who forgive other first, read up on how Jesus told his disciples to pray.
