The Political woes of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel might just have increased as his father Inlaw, over twenty members of his family and many other chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP today defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The event which was a solidarity rally for President Muhammadu Buhari held at Ini Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom.

Imminent persons at the rally included Senator Godswil Akpabio, S.S.A to President Buhari, Senator Ita Enang, APC Governorship Candidate, Obong Nsima Ekere among others.

Senator Akpabio said he dumped the PDP because of the integrity of President Muhammadu Buhari and the transformation agenda that the president is championing in Nigeria.

He vowed to deliver 98% of votes in Akwa Ibom State to the APC and President Buhari in 2019.

I watched it on tv and we were all laughing in the office. I heard one of the supposed in-laws of udom telling akpabio,"we are 20",in-otherwards,make our money complete o.. Akpabio is a very good actor honestly. After all the drama,when he gets back to his hotel roo or home,the next person he'd call might be saraki,and they would laugh and joke over all the drama. Our politicians are all just acting for the camera.

Akpabio will never succeed in this. Forget all the mouth he makes, he will never remove udom from power.

when people make comments like Akwa ibom is PDP I do wonder the basis on which they place their judgement... fact is APC was already very strong on ground in Akwa ibom even before the likes of Umana and Ekere joined. With Akpabio now on board with all federal government machineries at his disposal, Udom Emanuel's chances of winning is very slim.
