[quote author= post=72835343]APC has won gubernatorial positions under Buhari in Kogi, Edo, Ekiti and Osun states. The victories were fair and square. The party lost in Bayelsa and Anambra. This President would never manipulate victory for anyone, not even his own party. And you ask us not to trust him? Of course, We will!

We will vote for President Buhari over and over, again and again, because he can be trusted. You can trust him with the resources of the country. He won't filch them. You can trust him with power. He won't misuse it. You can trust him with the well being of the land, he cares.

Pmb is both the judge and the accuser in today's Nigeria and the funny thing is that those who should stand up and condemn such actions are there cheering him.
If every president that comes will act with impunity the way pmb did,I bet you guys that within a few years,we would say goodbye to democracy in Nigeria.

I wish PMB came back as GMB, a military head of state with integrity.

Democracy is our biggest problem in this country.

Ours is democracy by for by force.

Nigeria is not ripe for democracy.

A country were minds are corrupt to the family and individual units, even up to the foetus in the womb.

The judiciary is the worst problem we have.
The hollier than thou attitude is out of this world.

Justice is now procured in Nigeria, and then they wake up to call it rule of law.

Very corrupt set of people!
I don't get... The difference between GMB and PMB is just the uniform. Do you mean you change personality as you change your clothes? Or don't you think the problems of this government was the same reason given after he was toppled then as the head of state?though nobody holy pass but It's the person he is.

Re: Refusal To Obey Court Order Is Corruption – Emir Of Gummi by emmasege: 6:54am On Nov 10, 2018
This is why I know (not think) that Buhari cannot win the 2019 election, except the PDP allows APC to actualise their rigging plans. Here's an Emir discrediting Buhari. I am convinced that this man spoke the minds of many northern tradiional rulers including Sultan and the Emir of Kano. I do not even see Buhari winning Sokoto State for holding a prince of the Sultanate in detention, even after several court injunctions urging government to release him. The Tambuwal factor is also there working against him.

IT IS EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE THAN FOR BUHARI TO WIN THE 2019 ELECTION.

I didnt see anywhere he mentioned Judges taking bribe is the worst form of corruption that will destroy the nation.
Dasuki must be kept in jail for indirectly killing our citizens and soldiers until our judicial system starts functioning like South Africa.
Corrupt Judges.
Yeah you are right but our problem is double standard and favoritism, dasuki committed the same offense as Obanikoro the then minister in defense ministry that is now a saint cleansed in the blood of apc. My point is, the executives made the judicials what they are today because they dictate what the outcomes should be to them.

Emir of Gummi, Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi (retd.), who was a keynote speaker at the Barewa Old Boys Association annual lecture, held at the Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto, took a swipe at President Buhari over not obeying court order.

The Emir of Gummi who spoke on the topic, ‘The challenges of the judiciary to democracy: The Nigeria perspective', said that refusal to obey a court order is another form of corruption, noting that government must exemplify the change it promised before expecting citizens to follow suit.

According to the monarch, disrespect for the rule of law, bad governance, disobedience to court orders, non-compliance with electoral regulations by political parties, godfathers hijacking the electoral process and dwindling confidence in the justice system posed threats to Nigeria’s democracy.

“Orders of court are disobeyed at will in the name of fighting corruption. No one institution, no matter how highly placed, should flout the laws of the land, not even under the guise of fighting corruption. Refusing to obey an order of court is another form of corruption in itself.

“The executive cannot play the role of both the accuser and that of the judge at the same time. It is an aberration in a democracy. National security cannot take precedence over the rule of law; rather, it should be guided by the rule of law.

“Any democracy where the executive tries to intimidate and harass the legislature and/or the judiciary into doing its bidding is a democracy under threat. In the same vein, it is not right in a democracy for the National Assembly to make governance difficult for the executive for pecuniary reasons.

“We all agree that we need change as promised by the government, but that change must first begin with them, then, you and me" the Emir of Gummi said.

Your mumuness is exponential.
More than half of APC's stalwarts today were in PDP then, need I tell you that?
So the courts are no longer corrupt under APC, yet legal injunctions are being treated with contempt. Is that not a stupid analysis?

There is a possibility that this won't make much differences as far as we are in Nigeria.

So, no need to expect an instant change in anything...

On the other hand...
That is the beginning of a terrible box to be opened.

We need more in Nigeria than this story.
