I hope it's actually a good match on the pitch. Their rivalry is arguably the biggest in World football. I'm team River Plate
So we'll be on opposite sides again.
I love Boca Juniors.

may Ogun locate wengay where ever he's, that blind old man wanted to pay 90m in a panicked buy situation
Last season really exposed him. Though I would have taken him at Bayern since he's still pretty young and a decent player but definitely at nothing close to that price as I think he has a pretty low ceiling.

He is not a striker responsible for scoring .
He is an attacker. Scoring and assisting are part of his responsibility

Juan Roman Riquelme
One of the greatest derbies in football.

I switch my support depending on the quality of the sides. Funny thing is both clubs rarely ever have great teams at the same time.

In the 90s i i loved the great River side with Ortega, Gallardo, Crespo, Almeyda, Ayala and of course the prince of River Enzo Francescoli.

In the 2000s i like the Riquelme led Boca team with Palermo as the goal king.

Palermo!!! My goodness... one of the most clinical strikers of all time in the Argentine league even though he was a horrible PK taker. I really don’t know why he did not succeed in Europe.

It’s funny because the tides have changed in club football. During the late 90’s and early 2000s, elite European clubs moved a lot of South American young players from their home league particularly the Brazilian and Argentine leagues but today, not so much as the focus has returned to Europe.

Haha, I think it was the 99 Copa America against Colombia I think, I may be wrong but I think it’s Colombia.

The guy was just horrible from the spot even when he ventured into Europe. His problem was he wanted to power the ball to the roof of the net with his angled left foot.

That was Copa 99 which introduced the world to the Ronaldinho/Rivaldo/Ronaldo combination. It truncated his international career and they didn't call him again for 10yrs until his homeboy Maradona became manager.

He's an attacker in a 433. By playmaking you mean shakushaku?
Cos 4 career CL goals from open play is woeful

I know Ronaldinho played Nigeria 99. That was when I knew him. I can't remember if he played the copa or was a starter

Na those days ronaldo and Rivaldo go both score hat trick in the same game. You go come dey wonder who will take the match ball

I don't think he was a starter. Yes he was in Nigeria as were Xavi, Gabri, Cambiasso, Shinji Ono, Peter Crouch, Damien Duff, Seydou Keita e.t.c

Nigeria wrecked its chances by allowing one of the most corrupt selection processes we have ever had.

Definitely not him. He deserved to be in the team and he, Okunowo and Babangida were meant be the stars until Uncle Aghahowa stole the show.
Yobo also played well.

I was talking about Ikenna Eneh, John Aranka, Chikelue Iloanusi and that most useless of no 9s Eddy Dombraye and his colourful, wasteful boots.
