He might have to hang a CD containing tape recordings of his press conferences where he bragged about his abilities and threw jabs at other managers (esp. Wenger) grin

Na na na.... this is the official version of events.

Nobody forced wenger to sell. Viera, Henry, Lauren,Wiltord Adebayor, and co.

During the Invincible era they were winning eveything in sight. And wenger will bring out the academy boys to come play carling cup,FA cup,Leauge cup etc.

They were doing well and winning too based on tbe fear factor that the exploits of the senior team had created in opponents.

Then Wenger started to think funny and started selling all his star players and replacing them with kobo kobo players until that team was bare boned.

Van Persie left out of frustration that there were no quality additions.

The person you quoted gave you the right story of events
Seems you don't understand how a football club is run

I hear you.

I observe and make my own conclusions based on what I see and hear and not one storyline that The Communications Director is paid to feed the media.

what nonsense money, the last time they reach no 5 on the richest team list was 2007, as at now they are somewhere around 17 or so. Roma is currently above them and they didn't sign maradona or pele to make their money

That Doesn't stop them from making money. Maybe this contract is what keeping them at the 17

Individual observations/conclussions do not change facts
Facts remain Facts, regardless of who accepts them

Like i said i hear you.
I form my opinions based on facts that i observe.

I watched Wenger and Arsenal attain greatness and then implode... twas not because of any stadium that was being built.

Wenger got too cocky with his success .
He was selling off his top notch, seasoned, experienced and battle tested assets at a premium price and was buying average players at cheap price and depending too much on academy players.

Yes they could play champagne football, but they lacked the mental strength and experience to deliver when it mattered most by winning trophies.

Even Wenger said no player is worth a certain amount.
In a way he is right. But he was so obsessed with playing beautiful football that he forgot that he needed strong, physical and dirty players too.

Viera could play beautiful but he was dirty when needed. Robert Pires could play beautiful but he knew how to be tricky to get a penalty.

You're still not getting the point
what you're stating are surface issues
The type random emotional fans would always conclude

What that guy told u are the facts and there is even much more

No one keeps an employee for yrs if he/she is not doing the job they were asked to do

There is no sentiments or emotions in business
This is why fans don't run football clubs else they'll run it down with their emotional shallow thinking

Bro...lets drop this. What has happened to will happen to Arsenal does not add any value to me.

I watched their history unfold before my very eyes and no one cam tell me otherwise.

By the way...Football is a very emotional game. Those who look at it from the lens of numbers alone can never truly enjoy the sport.

Wenger refused to evolve with the times.

"Football is very emotional game" Sure

Football management however is not
Emotions would not generate cash
Without cash you have no football club

" And emotions dont influence football management decisions"
No It doesn't

This is no court case so everyone can do as they please
But the facts must be stated

If emotions have no influence on management decisions, how come Spain's FA sacked Lopetuigi on the eve of the world cup because he signed for Real Madrid without carrying them along.

They felt disrespected right? No ask yourself if disrespect is an emotion or not.

Like i said drop this convo. I started watching as a neutral observer, the Premiership in 1998/1999 long before viewing centers sprung up.

I did not start supporting Chelsea until 2008 and with John Terry the last of that amazing team gone, i am back to being a neutral.

Nothing new wey you want tell me about Wenger.

Before Mourinho, premiership dominance was by United and Arsenal.

Sacking of Spanish coach was pragmatic and logical not emotional

You have a World Cup days ahead and you're concentrating on club football contracts
Even a bench warming squad member would be sanctioned let alone the coach of the team

Fact is no one with indept knowledge of football would go along this your line of argument

I've been watching club football since the era of "football made in Germany" if u know what I mean
Don't test my knowledge

Ha ha. Football made in Germany. Shown by NTA at about 2pm on Saturdays before starting NTA Sports by 4. They were never live matches though. And that was definitely before the mass exodus of African players to Europe with Nigerians leading the way.

At around that time , I was already watching live Division one matches of Stationary Stores ans Julius berger at Onikan Stadium and Super Eagles matches at the National stadium.

All in All. I have heard you and cannot agree with you.
My conclusion is Emotions have a gargantuan influence on Management decisions.

They key is that there is a difference between responding to something and reacting to something.

One *responding requires careful consideration of the best course of action after reviewing all likely scenarios that their decision would cause...that is what Managers do.

Reacting does not involve any logical thinking and that is what many fans do.

But to say emotions does not influence management is a Big NO for me.

I rest my case.
