Benue state university were thrown into panic, after a wing of the TetFund-funded Faculty of Social Sciences of Benue State University, Makurdi, in the early hours of Sunday, 18th November, 2018, collapsed tragically. BSU University main library complex ranked one among the top three biggest library in Nigeria, was one of those constructed with the 9.Billion Naira high-impact intervention accessed by the university Management in 2013 during the tenure of Professor Charity Angya as Vice-chancellor. Many Students and others are now calling routine integrity test to be conducted on new buildings, as well as old and decrepit buildings to determine their structural stability in order to curb rising cases of building collapse.
