So, we saw people taking pics at this monument on the floor, just in front of the Cathedral and we also stood and took ours.
Later we learnt it's called the Point Zero.
It's literally the centre of Paris City!
It means if you draw a circle around Paris, this is the centre of that circle.

I am just having a deep seated laughter here. grin grin grin

Did you see that guy's angry post after he left Nigeria and saw how civilization works? I completely feel the guy.

I also honestly don't think that Nigeria/Africa will get better in the foreseeable future. Sorry for all you patriots with mountain moving faith. grin grin
It's so sad.
The biggest gift any Nigerian can give himself/herself is to have a trip outside, not to fellow African countries but to any of the OECD countries and have a feeling of what development/civilization ia all about. It will completely change your perspective about government, leadership, planning and service delivery.
We have been been brought up to normalize utter mediocrity, that's why when you ask leaders questions they see it as affront.
And the biggest joke is that Nigeria was great. Nah bro, Nigeria and greatness should never ever be put in one sentence.

You will even be ashamed of most of our prayer points and testimonies in churches and mosques. Because over 90% of the things we pray for God to do are actually governmnents' responsibilities, but your Pastors will tell you to leave the same govt officials who collect millions in salaries and loot the rest in billions and hold on to God to fix the economy and infrastructure.

We are very faaaaaaaaaar!!!

Beautiful street with well set trees lined up, while the leaves succumb to the powe of autumn season.
Notice that car parks are inside the road before the pedestrian lines, so no idiot will park and block the road.

I think the only places I have seen nice trees like this in Naija are Bourdillion Ikoyi, Bisala road, Enugu and Calabar entrance.

Can't remember what he called this twin building, but this is where the UN meeting held and they came up with the Universal declaration of human rights.
We all know the US as the land of liberty but France was the forerunner to the notion of liberty.
Remember their national motto is libertè, egalitè, socialitè.

Driving through... feeling the weight of the Engineering feat on my neck.

When will Nigerian Engineers attempt something like this. Any way they can't even build a road that will last a complete rainy season. Lol

You didn't go in to see Venus de Milo?

cecegorz:
Right in the middle of that museum is this gigantic glass Pyramid with two other smaller pyramids by the side.
Popularly known as the Louvre pyramid.
There are so many controversies and conspiracy theories about this pyramid and Illuminati.
It is believed by the conspirators that exactly 666 pieces of glass blades were used in the construction and that the French President that commissioned the constructions, François Mitterand is a Masonic occult grand master.

And the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to America.

Surprisingly, the city looks well lit at night, seems Fashola's PHCN is doing better now or are these the 'I better pass my neighbour' generators he promised? Lol

Guys, something funny happened during our shuttle from CDG to Paris city center.

As we drove through the high way, passed the Stade the France (France '98 Finals stadium) and got to the first traffic stop, our car was swamped at the sides by homeless African immigrants begging for alms, typical of Lagos traffic.
The whole environment was littered with trash, and for us coming in from Frankfurt it was quite shocking. Frankfurt is sparkling clean! Asides the leaves falling off the tree-lined streets, you can't see a drop of nylon or paper on the streets.
So, I called some of my guys that live in Paris to expresse my disappointment as the sight falls short of my expectation. They said we should chill, that we will be wowed when we enter the city...

Folks from $hithole countries have flooded Paris and they are squatting everywhere, "il y a poubelle partous" is what you hear the French folks complaining
And the funny thing is that the French govt leaves then because according to my friend Yannick, it costs more to deport them

go to a place like barbes and see what shit hole citizens have turned it to undecided

Africa my Africa undecided
