A 24-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl, his neighbour’s niece. According to reports, the suspect who is currently in police custody – was said to have been handed over the little girl to look after by his lady neighbour who went to the market. .

The married man whose wife was not around decided to use the opportunity to sexually abuse the girl in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.An alarm was raised after the neighbour came back to find her young niece in a bad shape before she later revealed what happened.
The girl was taken to a hospital where it was confirmed she was raped. .


The suspect was immediately arrested by the police and will be brought before the public prosecutor’s office in Yopougon area of Abidjan on Friday.
