Wow, something very similar happened to a family I know.
The man used to be a cultist but left the cult and started living his life on the low. Only for him to be killed a week or so to his wedding.

Most of my dreaded cult friends don't stay in Nigeria anymore, they were wanted but definitely they are not coming back. There is one of my guy that sleeps close to police station when he comes into the country in case of incasities.

Obosi is home for cultist activities in southeast Nigeria

I was opportune to live there for 3months this year between the period of may to July for an official assignment

but what I experienced is beyond human comprehension, even a 14 year old boy has a gun, if you talk any how he would bring his fellow gang at night to shoot you

A notorious cultist known as Star boy was killed that period and the burial was bloody

it only took the intervention of the Nigerian military before obosi was calm after that incident

I vowed never to return there and sleep for a single night

I thank God for preserving my life and my colleagues
during those period, I saw hell
