It's actually quite common for the blacker ones to seek to 'whiten' their lineage down the line. Latin America is still pretty backward with race relations. Not as dynamic as north America. There seems to be a perceptive inferiority complex.

Marrying white is viewed as 'bettering' the race etc.
Neymar is cool and all but just something to have in mind. Ask ppl who've lived in Sao Paulo or Rio.

what has this got to do with neymars kid being white ? My point was it's common in Brazil , and like you said , Brazil is a mixed nation , some Brazilians are white , some a mixed , some are black ...so I don't get how he hates his heritage , it's not like it started today . And ronaldinho married two Blacks so I don't see any point , Marcelo is married to a mixed , I think the former president of the country was white .yea he straightened his hair , lightened his skin tone , some of the whites out there tan their skin also , like Ronaldo did when he came to utd , dude was white as Bleep , but look at him now . Neymar is mixed race.They combine in different ways and a child's skin color can never be 100% predicted.
