Attack On 157 Task Force Battalion: President Buhari’s Reaction by Oluwabash(m): 9:53am On Nov 27, 2018
Shortly after the 157 Task Force battalion came under intense enemy attack, the President activated multiple strategies in restoring the morales of the troops and assuring the citizenry of government’s resolve in dealing effectively with the crisis.

The President, was able to calm the citizenry and acted in the nation’s defence. In a statement released by his SSA Media & Publicity on November 24, he assured Nigerians that “ In the coming days, I am engaging the Military and Intelligence Chiefs in extensive discussions on the next steps we shall be taking”

After receiving situation briefing from the Minister of Defence, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces (CnC) on November 25, deployed the Minister of Defence in continuation on consultations with Ministers of Defence of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJF) Troops Contributing Countries (TCC) which includes Cameroon, Chad, Niger, Nigeria and Benin Republic, to the Republic of Chad for an urgent meeting with the Chadian President and his Minister of Defence, to find a way of positioning members of the (MNJF) in routes used by BHT to attack Nigeria which borders Chad, as the recent attackers spoke French and Arabic languages.

It should be recalled that on September 2018 the Minister paid a similar meeting to Niger Republic and the outcome was a powerful cross-border strike that neutralised BHT members and their camps destroyed.

With preliminary intelligence from the Minister of Defence, Mr President summoned a meeting with all Service Chiefs for a review session on the Operation in the North-East.

On November 26, Mr President received another situational briefing from the Service and Intelligence Chiefs on the situations in the North East.

Nigerian Army’s Reaction

On November 23, the Nigerian Army responded to calm the nerves of the populace on the attack and reaffirmed the laid down procedures of contacting families of troops killed in action (KIA) before releasing their names or numbers of personnel KIA to the public.

The NA also denounced the false causality figure bandied and propagandistic videos shared in the media as fake new which is to be avoided.

In a show of resilience and strength, on November 25, the Chief Of Army Staff’s (COAS) annual conference to be declared open by the CnC, scheduled for Benin from 26-30 has been moved to Maiduguri - to hold on 28-30 of November 2018.

On November 25, the Ag GOC Operation Lafiya Dole visited troops of 82 Task Force Battalion in Ngwoshe, Gwoza - he commended their sacrifices and tasked the troops to consolidate on the efforts already realised.

The GOC assured troops of their welfare receiving the necessary support it requires from the COAS.

Nigerian Airforce Reaction

On November 25, the Nigerian Airforce deployed war helicopters to strike BHT members, locations, and vehicles linked to BHT attackers in last week raid on the military base at Metele in Borno State.

The Nigerian Airforce followed the trail of the terrorists and destroyed seven (7) vehicles including gun trucks and eliminated all BHT members in the convoy.

The Nigerian Airforce deployed the Mi-35M, multi-role combat helicopters which is known to deliver high-precision weaponry in destroying ground targets.

The Nigerian Airforce also embarked on a cross border airstrike in pursuit of where the terrorists hid stolen armoured tanks and destroyed them.

And where were you when the monumental failure Nigeria have today as president earnestly sought for this same position of responsibility for 12years without really having an iota of grasp of what the office is really about despite being a former military man

Guess you remember his "dogs & baboon being soaked in blood" coagulation as well as the the infamous "APC will form a parallel govt" statement by Amaechi?

It could have been that Buhari is the best president Nigeria never had but guess you're comfortable with the hell he have taken Nigeria to today
