I support privatising NNPC....however, if Atiku insists on keeping fuel at N90....privatising NNPC would have been sabotaged.

Best thing to do...privatise NNPC,remove subsidy....yes fuel will shoot up to N300 per liter...YES...prices will go up.....BUT....NNPC will FINALLY become a responsible organisation.

And prcies will go down eventually.

GSM wasprivate from the wordgo...they were allowed to set their prices, yes...we paid N10000 for a sim, but the money enabled the GSM to make investments that led to price falls.

Even the act of removing subsidy would end the seams around subsidy being carried out by elements in NNPC.
Privatization of NNPC isn't rocket science like that of GSM oo...look at NEPA own naa. Wouldn't it have been better if NEPA was left to be? Where is the light?

Yes...only on the 'who will they sell NNPC too'....which is a valid question.
Not just on who will they sell NNPC to, but also on the % to sell.
He favours the sale of BTW 41 to 51%, while Atikuloot wants to sell a whole 90%.

Trust me, Nigertia will regret selling 90% of NPPC if Atikus plan is implemented.

As much as there is so much money being wasted, so much scam happening in NNPC, it still pays Nigeria more.

A bulk of the money shared monthly amongst the Federal/state/LGAs comes from NNPC.
Any month NNPC under declares her income, wahala done dey be that.

Partial sale (40-50%) , Yes.
Not 90% as proposed by Artikuloot,

Zombie NNPC was established by a decree in 1978 by the obasanjo military regime and can only be disembodied by an act of parliament ( National Assembly) it has nothing to do with the President,go and meet saraki and Dogara so they can pass the law to privatize NNPC,not the President,Ignorant Goat brain.

Things that might happen IF atiku becomes president :

1. Massive importation of virtually everything possible through our borders which will turn Nigeria into a dumping ground.

2. OBJ will continue to have or even increase the ghost workers receiving salaries from Nigeria's federation accounts.

3. GBENGA DANIEL, will definitely have a ministerial slot. GOD! GBENGA Daniel!

4. Electricity will never improve or would slow down so much as atiku owns a generator company.

5. Abandonment of the rail projects currently on going which will be a massive blow to our transportation system and infrastructural development.

6. Selling NNPC to himself and a group of people in his cabal, that way, we are done.

7. EFCC will be rendered powerless, impotent as you may have it because atiku never fights corruption, he's an advocate of it which even his supporters know.

8. He'll have to recover all his campaign funds as he has spent billions already on supporting buhari while in APC, bribing his way through PDP primaries to get the ticket, plus the billions he and PDP will spend during this campaign period. (he has shared 10k each this past week in Kogi State).

9. Little or no funds will be remitted into our federation accounts as he would scrap this single account we're currently using to reduce the level of corruption.

10. PDP cabal won't let him rest as all his appointments, contracts, plans would have to go their way. (This ultimately ruined Jonathan's government). Atiku would have promised heaven and earth in that party.

11. Restructuring would never take place because it can't work, atiku is a chronic liar and was just being political and wants the vote of my brothers in the Southeast. (the likes of wike know this, that's why they didn't vote for him in the primaries. Even OBJ confirmed his tendency to go back on his word in his book).

12. We might have abundance of turkey, Thai rice, spaghetti, tomato paste, milk, sardines, tea bags, toothpicks and all other stuffs, all imported, thereby gradually killing the economy, and killing locally made products, entrepreneurs will cry.

13. there's no assurance Boko Haram will be gone, no government in the world has successfully killed terrorism to its root, atiku has lesser knowledge on security issues.

14. Herdsmen are also from his region, he'll never take guns to his own land in a bid to stop them. they are also Hausa - Fulani's. (that's even if they are genuine HERDSMEN).

15. Creating 50million jobs as promised yearly is in reality impossible with the level of infrastructure available. it's just a political talk. he'll then ask for one more term.

I can't risk all these my brothers. And the dumbest sentences I've heard that could make one cry is "I know atiku is going there to loot, but I'm voting him". We are finished. Honestly.

Better to vote wisely brothers, don't say it's vote splitting, it's freedom. Let's achieve 12million votes to pass a strong message to these thieves. it has to start now.

This Buhari is a wasted bullet, despite all of his investment in fighting corruption, he could not hold Atiku with verifiable proof of corruption only his blind APC card-carry members crying Atiku is corupt Atiku is this and that. Meanwhile see this

why do you claim he is supporting Atiku's view? Even at that, both views are wrong. NNPC is a supervisory body, how can you privatise that?
DPR is the supervisory body

oga, even at that, dpr is under NNPC. We are not talking of filling stations supervision here, NNPC supervises all the multinational oil companies doing business in Nigeria

DPR does that not NNPC.
Agreed DPR is under NNPC, but DPR os more of a government parastatal , while NNPC is seen as a business entity of Government.
DPR is long overdue removal from the shackles of NNPC.

NNPC is a parastatal, with DPR remaining a unit/divsion/department etc whatever name you choose to call it. nnpc handles everything oil business in Nigeria, with its different units or components to achieve result.
every nation has a reason for implementing policies in their various countries. the reverse is the case in Nigeria, if we want to be sincere with ourselves has privatisation really done us any good? where is the nitel, nepa, etc? the accompanying deregulation clause in the privatisation process is all we see, which in turn doesn't favour us in case of telecom it is available but not affordable even the power sector. is this not what they are promising?
