Tinubu did not betray Ambode. Ambode betrayed himself. The guy was so arrogant and disrespectful to APC leaders who made him Governor that the decision to remove him was unanimous. Did you not see the result of the guber primaries where Sanwo-Olu defeated Ambode with over 800,000.00 votes? Does that not show how unpopular Ambode was? Tinubu even initially tried to protect Ambode but the noise of "Ambode must go" from APC leaders was so unanimously loud that Tinubu had to chill.

Ambode had no political structure and was an unknown many worked to make Governor only for him to become dismissive and arrogant towards those who battled for his emergence. Furthermore, he was not helped by a Patience Faka GEJ-type of wife he could not keep in check who went around offending everyone. Even Ambode knows he erred.

That is why he is going around today in total commitment to the APC project despite being ousted. That is Yoruba political sophistication at work right there you will never understand let alone learn to use to be politically effective. Look at the vote below to understand this was beyond Tinubu and was a very well-supported ambush of a a Governor everyone wanted gone.

Now they have come up with the Next Level for 2019 campaign. If they treated Tinubu like this in the first tenure, knowing they will need a second tenure, how will they treat him after they win and Buhari has nothing to loose?

Well Tinubu is a smart Businessman and does not want Lagos to slip from his hands or repeat the mistake he made with Fashola. He does not want to be trading on one side and the governor will be on the other side.

He wanted to remove fashola during his second term, but Fashola already built his own structure. He then tried to cut down fashola's access at the federal level. Unfortunately, he was already late. Fashola and Amechi had gone directly and invested in Buharis campaign, so there was no way fashola won't get a return on his investment.

He does not want to take such chances with Ambode, hence the need to bring in a freshman with fresh loyalty, before 2019.

So that if after his calculations, he decides to sell to Atiku, the federal level won't use Ambode against him.

So you might see Tinubus body with APC, but you never can tell where his mind is.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. This is payback time for him.
