I don't know about government agencies but banks do have access to some government databases.

I remember when I opened my last bank account, the guy just typed the last 4 digits on my pvc, and my details were pulled up.

Lol, payoneer don't have such access. It will surprise you to know that customs don't have access to BVN hence the capturing done during Passport registration. If they do have access, and since BVN is done with capture, all customs need is just your BVN, then retrieve your details which include the your fingerprint and use it to generate your passport ID. Same thing JTB don't have access to BVN, if they do, then they won't be capturing during TIN registration. All what is needed is just the BVN which has fingerprint attached to it.

If these agencies do not share data, how do you think that ordinary payoneer, a small escrow company will have success access to live database of Nigeria MDAs?

Now, this is funny. I know for certain Payoneer or any company cannot have access to any govt database, so I'm guessing the designer (or you) didn't do a thorough job. I did something similar myself at the beginning of the year and so far have never had any trouble using it on numerous sites (though not Payoneer, but especially the ones that reject Nigerians anyhow).

Let me ask? Did you confirm that the Pass no, DOB and Exp date all match with the Machine Readable portion at the bottom?
A mismatch here, easily detectable upon simple visual inspection, is a dead giveaway if you know what you're looking at.

Above all, it is important you go get yourself a genuine Pass.

To clarify my own post (and for educational purposes not to misinform). My whole point was that editing a passpo is more technical than merely changing date.

A passpo comes with its own security and verification checks which anyone who chooses to edit must understand at least the basics before proceeding. If you do otherwise, though on the surface everything looks perfect upon edit, anyone with an understanding of these checks will still see your 'original' expiry date just by looking at it.

My suggestion, if you don't understand how to go about it properly, stay clear so you don't embarrass yourself.

I guess you didn't read my first post. Passport is genuine, he only edited the expiry date - he changed Jul to Aug. That's all.
