- Gary And His Demons: Pretty fvcking good, I'm honestly surprised. I feel like the CBC actually took a chance on a comedy that wasnt some inoffensive, milquetoast pile of tofu. - Line of Duty: Wow. Really enjoyed it, watched all 4 series in a couple of weeks. Bloody hell I need a cigarette and a breather after every finale it seemed. I've read season 5 comes out next year, which is something to look forward to. - Bojack Horseman. I'd heard lots about it for years and finally decided to give it a go awhile ago. It's brilliant. A very interesting portrayl of someone who is depressed, self-destructive, narcissistic and using drugs and alcohol to cope with his constantly bad behavior toward others and with his own emotions. It's a cautionary tale of sorts. It somehow manages to have incredibly funny moments, and it switches from funny to serious incredibly well. The serious moments though are honestly what keep me coming back. They tug on your heart hard and kinda make you examine the parts of yourself you like to keep under wraps or feel uncomfortable examining. It's one of my new favorite shows. - Rewatching Avatar:The Last Airbender. There's several good things about this show but I don't wanna type alot more so I'll just say this. Complex characters,lessons,intense emotional moments, asian culture, well done adult themes, story, lore, fluid fight scenes and top notch animation. Also,spirituality. They delve heavily into eastern philosophy and spiritual things. The series honestly (to me personally) made certain moments feel like a super intense emotional almost spiritual experience 5 Likes |

Miggs: The Wire is a masterpiece. It's maybe not as enjoyable as other shows because it can be very dense and hard to follow and heavy, but I don't think any show is as engrossing and complex and incredibly well-written as The Wire. Literally any character could be someone's favourite, and that's definitely true. I'm not sure there's a single character who isn't in some way interesting, entertaining, or unique. Even fairly minor characters like Wallace or Slim Charles leave a huge impression. 2 Likes |

idreezbaba:The fact that Game of Thrones is extremely popular or has won tons of awards does not automatically mean it is the best show ever made. For goodness sake,Modern Family has many awards and is also popular but can it be rated as a great show? Game of Thrones got rid of its nuances and became an easily digestible program after its second season.It turned into a Lannisters bad and Starks good conundrum which culminated in a terrible seventh season. Miggs: No, Sir ( with respect, of course  ). For a series to be crowned the best series ever made, we cannot only rely on great storylines, brilliant casting and acting, or top-notch production to judge. There are many series possessing all this qualities so it will be difficult to justify how a brilliantly made Sci-fi series is any better than a brilliantly made historical drama, or how a crime thriller is any better than a comedy. In my opinion, I think where GoT blows every other television series out of the picture is its impact on Pop (Popular) Culture. To have done that, you not only have to do what so many other series have done and are doing (The Wire, Band of Brothers, Breaking Bad, etcetera) - which is like the basics since we are talking about all time classics here - But you have to have that little extra bit to be able to influence a whole generation of people through mass media. Just a little perspective... I eventually watched Got for the first time around July last year. I was already conversant with series before Got came out. Then, up until last year, I decided not to watch it. ( perhaps, the hysteria and hype when it came out was unprecedented and I decided it was all fuss and no substance ) I don't normally like what most people like in television series. People around me always talked about Got, from the feelers I get, there was nothing special about it and nothing surprising if most people liked it. I mean, Most people like Spartacus and it was easy to transition into Got ( most claim they were similar  ) With our poor taste in music, I don't trust bandwagon series fanatics ( I see you flash and Arrow. Na joke oh ) I watched Spartacus(irregularly) too but I wouldn't regret not watching it  .But not you, Oo Got But for someone like me who spends a lot of time reading anything on the net. The references of Game of Thrones you come across was becoming unbearable. I'm not talking about news site alone here. You see people reference GoT in Music, sports, football, Arts, Politics etc. In fact, I start seeing other TV shows play to the gallery and reference GoT too. Mind you, I wasn't watching it up to this point yet, what about all the other subliminal mentions only GoT fans could decipher? Like hardmen would say, everybody eventually breaks if you push them hard enough. So, I eventually decided to watch the damn show since apparently, I was the only one left in the world who hadn't join the bandwagon I mean, even Donald Trump couldn't resist the urge to follow GoT inspired Pop Culture with his Sanctions Are Coming theme as a prelude to his economic sanctions on Iran You can't honestly compare other series to Got without taking into consideration the impact each has to the society 2 Likes

@jelel6 Next time,try and summarize your post. What Game of Thrones has going for it is the bandwagon effect/the herd mentality of its rabid "fans"You hadn't watched the program until last year but you had heard positive views about the program even before you watched a single episode(the numerous awards it had won,quotes from the show even photos of the characters littered all over the net) It was nigh impossible for you not to like the program. The program simply stopped being good after season 2 that is what hinders it from being one of the greats 1 Like |

I finished watching Greenleaf Season 2 and 3... Its pretty interesting, i binged watched the 2 seasons at a go... I can't wait for Season 4 next year... I'm currently watching Dynasty Season 1. |

Why don't we put Star Trek as the best movie of all time because people are speaking Klingon and using the "Live and prosper" salutation? I tried to provide context for basing my opinions hence the lengthy post. If you still mistake the point then I probably shouldn't say more. Besides, I think we can discuss respectfully without calling people irrational and insane merely because we have opposing views to theirs |
