So depressing reading about vast development in other countries while we're still tackling mundane issues. When will we ever get it right in this country? sad

Morocco and its Arab neighbours shouldn't be in Africa.. but what would they do?
this is a country that works and see development as a priority to growth and economic prosperity... we are still purchasing locomotives trains in this age... the brains of our leaders should be examined... analog brains I must say...

Our major concern is religious war. They want to islamize us, they want to christianize us.
That's an African Arab Nation. Here we will be busy tagging all Arabians/Muslims terrorists. When d real terrorism is what we face with our leaders and govt

In Nigeria this 2.5 billion naira will be for feasibility study alone, while the rail itself will take up to 15billion dollars.

We all know that PDP looted Nigeria dry and APC is fixing all the abandoned projects now. $16B budgeted for electricity, it was looted, their own house in Abuja looted.

HOW PDP SHARED OUR MONEY!!!

Nigerian youths, see how the PDP destroyed your colourful future. See how they shared our Commonwealth and why we are suffering today.
See their confessions when Buhari began hunting them down:

1. I acted based on Jonathan's instruction - Dasuki

2. I didn't give order - Jonathan

3. I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation - Iyorchia Ayu

4. I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m - Bode George

5. I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes - Bafarawa

6. I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office - Thisday Obaigbena.

7. I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity - Dokpesi

8. I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where - Bafarawa.

9. I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others - Yuguda

10. The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates - Dasuki

11. My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN - Dasuki's account officer.

12. I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land. - Nimasa DG.

13. 950m was shared in my house -- Shekarau

With all this looting and many more revealed, some people are still shouting no sign of change yet, they even say it's political persecution.

So, what should Buhari do?

You didn't read that the project had been in development for a decade and was funded by three foreign governments, aside Morocco?

So, you want Buhari to perform magic in 3 years?
Buhari recently appropriated 1 Billion dollars to "fight" a "technically defeated" Boko Haram. 2.5 Billion is not too much for him.

What has monarchy got to do with development?

Should we now start mentioning those countries doing great stuff without been Monarchy?

Morocco is an absolute monarchy. This means the king has a lot of power. He can make decisions and have them quickly executed.

But in Nigeria, Buhari can have a plan but must share it with the legislative arm who may decide to debate on it for years.

There is a clear difference in decision making in a monarchy like Morocco and a presidential system of government as we have in Nigeria.

I can see what a bad leader you will make.

So, in a country battling terrorism and high unemployment rate, the president should favor white elephant projects over more pressing issues?

Don't we have trains that we can manage for now. Or is having a fast train a do-or-die affair

Emphasis on TECHNICALLY DEFEATED. If Boko Haram have been technically defeated, spending an additional 1 Billion dollars on them is a white elephant project. Spend that money on projects that we haven't technically defeated, like improving transportation. Will you please forget your BMC allowance and discuss this without bias?

Technically defeated does not mean that Boko Haram has been totally defeated.

So Buhari lied? OK then.

Please, stop being petty.

As at the time the statement was made, Boko Haram had been bombarded and weakened to the extent that they could not take territories and were reduced to attacking villages. That was what was meant by technically defeated.

Everyone knows that terrorism does not just go away like that. Even Lugard attested to the fact that "holy wars never end" (cited from Attahiru, pg. 52). And Boko Haram see their war as a holy war (a jihad).

It doesn't prove anything.

Brazil's level of security has never been good but it hosted the world cup in 2014.
