Different Nations in the South South region are speaking out one by one against the supposed aggressive claims by Biafrans that the territorial domain now known as South South was indeed dispossessed wrongfully, and that they desire to reclaim and re-integrate it into an independent Biafra. Traditional Chiefs of Bini have spoken out. Scholars and Professionals have published articles against it. Senator of Urhobo nation has also spoken and warned against this trend. The people that truly ought to speak out are Igbo scholars, traditional chiefs, senators, professionals, scholars, businessmen, but unfortunately they are silent and allow their tribesmen to roam wild and create fears amongst their neighbours in the region. This is dangerous. This is almost the baseline that infuriated Northerners last year in their accusations that the elites of Igbo society are tacitly supporting Kanu and their silence is consent for the Biafran cause.

I encourage Igbo leaders and elites to meet review this emerging danger and imminent breakdown of trust betwween SE and its neighbours in SS. Their continued silence will feed the fire of suspicion and confirm whispers going round that the elites are not innocent of Kanu's atrocities and drive to obtain foreign assistance to tear SE away and take SS, forcefully, with it. Only Igbo elites can reinject trust and reassurance against the noise of Biafra and how those close to you feel with its insults. Risk management and mitigation is one of the pillars of leadership. There is a risk and intervention should step in and manage it.
