Have you sometimes wondered why Nigeria don't seem to have made much progress since Independence?
It is purely due to herd mentality and inability of its youths to break away from the stranglehold of individuals holding them captive.

If there is one thing that Igbo customs and tradition has bequeathed on the average Igbo person, it would be the ability to take your destiny in your own hands and not depend on anyone for your future.
Every man is a king in his 'obi'!

Why some youth would tag along to vote a man that self-confessed on his own inability to deliver at his best, (and there are hundreds of evidence to show that indeed the man has failed and is aloof of what happenings within government circles) beats my imagination.

The same man who told you 4yrs ago that he would not be able to perform at optimum, is today asking you to vote him again! What and why then does he still want to stay on a job that he knows he cannot perform at?

Guess what? Some youths are lining up to cast their ballots for the same man, just because a political godfather has asked them to, in the hope that he might become president after the incapacitated occupant.

What is the scorecard?

Security: Boko haram and murderous herdsmen makes giving a score easy.

Economy: Naira slipping from N197 to N365 tells all the story. Today they are kicking against increasing minimum wage despite a hugely devalued naira.

Corruption: Babachir, Maina, Oshi-omoh-OLE, etc. tells the story here. Forget about the witch-hunt of political opponents for which no conviction has been secured.

Social welfare: Fuel price jumped from N87 to N145 while subsidy (which Buhari has claimed was fraudulent)is still being paid at even highly inflated figures. Trader moni has shown to be another sophisticated vote buying measure.

Wonder why the ruling party don't seem to have anything to campaign on, but have rather gone on the offensive asking the U.S government not to grant their opponent visa, or Fashola telling the Yoruba that the reason why Buhari should be voted is so that power can come back to the SW, and not for any achievements of note!

Use your head Nigerians. Your future lies in your hands.

OP save your breadth, the Atiku campaign is just kicking off and will gain the needed momentum to envelop anything with the face of the tyrant on it. The voters are waiting for Buhari to come tell them the hope his 2nd term brings

The days are full of evil my friend.
If a bright mind like Fashola can descend into ethic brand of politics instead of showcasing the non-existent achievements of this government, it shows you that they have no intention of engaging in quality campaign.

It was Lai Mohammed the other day calling a press conference to ask the U.S government on who and who not to grant a visa.

Keyamo was on Channels TV, but could not string together a sentence and give straistraight answers on why Nigerians should re-elect Buhari.

Osinbajo is going about sharing N10,000 to people on the eve of election.

We owe it as a duty to educate the people on the dangers of 'reinforcing failure'.
Will the people follow the debates, or would they follow the people sharing 5 cups of rice and 3 cubes of maggi?

These are signs of a drowning team. They’re trying to drag Atiku to the mud to cause distractions but I doubt Atiku will take the bait, he ran issue based campaigns though he didn’t succeed in past elections

Unfortunately no strategy is required to get some people (mostly youths) to fall in line and vote without asking questions. All that is needed is to say "baba so wipe..."

Who would have thought that the same Ambode that folks were ready to kill for just a few weeks back, the same people made a 180 degree turn against him just because "baba so wipe...".
Some youths don't have a mind of their own, and have outsourced their ability to think and make decisions that will affect their future to some mini-gods.

Continuous education and calling out of such damaging posturing and actions might just save the ones that have not been completely sucked in.
