Pellegrini who also won the EPL, I might add to Pep to just win the EPL. They have expectations that he can lead them to capture the UCL which in my thoughts would be great for the EPL because again, most know how I feel about that. Pep saw a better financial situation with City in comparison to Bayern to achieve his goal to not only dominate the EPL but to also win the UCL with a different team.

Have you ever wondered why City purchased Ederson without flinching? Well, news filtered through that Pep actually wanted Ter Stegen but Barca refused (even though at the time he was on the bench for the most part). When that transaction failed and the transfer window was closing, City went for Bravo (they had to, the only other keeper they had was Willy Caballero). So Bravo's failures only meant City still needed a keeper and they opted for Pep's second choice - the same player he had praised when Bayern thrashed Benfica years back.

As for your UCL bla bla, that is a changed narrative. City hierarchy had always said league dominance was their first target and the UCL a long term project. Shebi Rafa Benitez won one with Liverpool? What happened after that? Ancelloti in Madrid nko? RDM?

No he did not see any better financial situation. Manchester United could have purchased the same players. PSG have the same financial power. One team was more desperate to have him and prepared way ahead for him. KDB for e.g was a player we would find out later City purchased at the behest of Pep who wanted him at Bayern but Bayern were unwilling to cough out the 50+ million that Wolfsburg asked for. Sané was another player he wanted at Bayern.
