The Director-General of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s Presidential campaign Council, Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Wednesday welcomed the presidential candidate of the party Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, Peter Obi and other party members to Kwara State for the party’s North Central rally as it prepares for the 2019 general elections. Crowds filled the roads from the Ilorin airport where Atiku and other PDP leaders touched down into the center of town where the rally took place, waving banners and flags with PDP colors.

The predominantly agrarian North Central region is popularly called Nigeria’s food basket, but recent attacks from armed herdsmen has threatened Nigeria’s food security and forced many from their homes and farms. Nigerians who live in the region say they have failed to see the promised security by the incumbent APC government, and have in recent times shown that they would be willing to support another candidate who restore security to their communities. President of Nigeria’s Senate Bukola Saraki speaking at the rally noted that “they (APC) promised that they will address the security of this country, but in the last four years, the security challenge has expanded to the North Central”

Atiku Abubakar is campaigning on a promise to get Nigeria working again and says he will establish “a strong and effective democratic government that secures our people and provides opportunities for them to realize their full potentials, allows greater autonomy for our federating units, and gives each region of the country a sense of belonging” if elected in the 2019 presidential elections. This promise as well as his plan has earned Atiku and his running mate Peter Obi, a shrewd and business-savvy former Governor of Anambra State in Nigeria’s South East, a lot of goodwill across Nigeria with political analysts predicting a resounding victory for the PDP in the region.

Atiku advised Nigerians to return PDP to power in 2019, reminding them that “the best years of this country was when the PDP was governing our country from 1999-2015” he also noted that “In terms of corruption, Nigeria is worse off today than we were in 2014. In terms of economy, we are the poorest country in the world today. In terms of insecurity, we are most insecure than at any other time in our history”

You mean the problem he left behind untreated, once a failure doesn't mean you will remain failure forever but nobody is waiting for anybody to be perfect before we make the right decisions. Available options ''Buhari''

In Trumps's Words "Sounds good, doesn't work", Nigeria needs another party to occupy Aso Rock, PDP and APC candidates have their loyalty to people who are the biggest problem of Nigeria behind the facade they show usangry

I don't know why educated and sensible people like making much ado about the crowds.

I have never seen any political rally APC or PDP which has pulled more than 70,000 people.

Never!

Most states have voting strengths of 1 million, 2 million, 3 million, 4 million, 5 million.

What is 70,000 compared to millions?

Senselss people!!!
Re: Security And Poverty Top The Agenda As Atiku Storms North Central by franchasng:
I will tell you people why there is high possibility that Buhari is being doubled by an imposter cool

PROOF 1:

Buhari's government has refused to re-shuffle its cabinet to avoid causing disunity among the cabinet members as some gets dropped, who may likely join opposition and begin to reveal secrets.

Ask yourself: how many democratically elected President of the world rule for 4 years straight with just one cabinet no re-shuffle even when its glaring that majority of the cabinet members are not performing and even when they are accused of corruption, nepotism, etc, Nigerians think!

PROOF 2:

Buhari fell ill, got flown to UK on emergency, Presidency shuts out everybody including his wife and Nigerians, months later, he makes a surprise recovery which makes him younger, robust and shorter.

PROOF 3:

Nigeria's Aso Rock Presidential villa & office can only be accessed or entered using the current President's fingerprint.

Now when Buhari returned from his miraculous medical treatment in UK, he couldn't enter the Aso Rock office because rats supposedly ate up all the furniture, but insider rumors then alleged that during this time, the biometric security apparatus at Aso Rock were being overhauled, whyhuh Did rats also eat the biometric systems that allows access to the President's officehuh

PROOF 4:

The new Buhari suddenly does not speak Fulfulde anymore according to his tribesmen close to him.

His grandkids and daughters don't take selfies with him again like before huh

His wife now sits and walks miles apart from him. Her comments also sabotages his administration.

PROOF 5:

APC is so scares to kick off their Presidential campaign unlike last year, what's going onhuh

Buhari no longer addresses Nigerians on live national TV broadcast, he now prefers to talk to Nigerians from outside Nigeria, hello Nigerians hello shocked shocked

"To clear doubts on Buhari/Jubril saga, he must run DNA test with his first son and publish the result in major newspapers. The test must not take place in UK and he must invite an opposition figure to witness where the sample will be taken"

~Senate President Bukola Saraki

If other Nigerian tribes refuse to think and talk out of fear and in the name of trying to remain politically correct and be seen as good/peaceful tribe, Igbos can never remain silent in midst of national disaster, this is why Igbos are the lion of Nigeria....and reason other tribes don't want Igbos to get freedom because they know without Igbos, they are doomed under Hausa-Fulani political oligarch wink

Wonderful and amazing crowd.
I thought some dudes on this platform said the venue was scanty.
Meanwhile lets wait for Laureta Onochie,El-Rufai and thier co-travellers to tell us the source of the crowd.
Maybe this time around ,they are imported from south Sudan.

This is amazingly amazing. The same poverty you guys induced??

Below is my response to a statement accredited to Atiku that the best time of Nigeria was 1999-2015

A period when monies that were supposed to have been expended on infrastructural developments were being shared around and looted while the populace thought all was well not knowing the future of the country was been frittered away and shared amongst themselves.

If your 1999-2015 had been spent laying a foundation in infrastructural development, the ordinary citizens would have by now taken off on their own and well settled In their respective enterprises.

What you dimwits failed to do in those years which would have been easier for people to endure seeing how the country was just coming out of a military beat-down and already used to the hardship is the judgement day that was postponed to this day which we weren't going to avoid any ways, is what this regime is trying to get started/sorted. The effect of your postponed judgement day is what is being felt today and you guys are shameless enough to want to make it an issue to campaign with to the mumus.

Una no normal at all.

I am non-partisan but when push gets to shove...give me Jubril from Sudan please until we the youths see the need to form a force and send these our grandfathers to their deserved/undeserved retirement homes..

Enough is enough
