Judging using my place of work as a case study and average Nigerian I meet day to day, I will say average Nigerian are not trustworthy and lack integrities

And that is why Nigeria has leadership problems. It's citizens do not fully understand the attributes of a leader. Why is why they keep choosing the wrong ones. Integrity is part of the building blocks of any good leader in case you don't know.

From the time of my last Green passport renewal until now. I am not sure whether the people of Nigeria have any value anymore. As we speak I don't think there's going to be anymore intergration for me as an individual who is supposed to be able to live independently within my given reasource. I as a person taught I had to make a little difference within the bigger picture by acting out the virtual/oral human rights part but I was wrong. Then I got hit by a forcefull school of thought in my current community. How can you help someone else when you can't help yourself? I thought, faith can move mountains. Till this day, I am still battling with OCDs and EMFs which has affected every aspect of my daily life and I don't think it is going away. So, I don't think about intergrity anymore because nobody needs it. And then even though I need it for my health, the affects of the EMFs will surpress the need or want. An example of this is that, I am loosing my teeth but still have hopes of getting rich, what teeth will I use to chew on meat? I like my privacy but then I can't move into the kinds of apartment I used to enjoy staying, I like chickens, cheese burgers with french fries etc but I will only eat once today and it will be the same thing I have eaten for years on credit after enough complaint and begging. So no I don't have it. Now what are you doing to do about it?

while I believe that there are a few exceptions, most ordinary Nigerians do not have integrity... yahoo boys, runs girls, cultist, armed robbery, ritualist to mention a few.. even market women and men always look for ways to cheat their customers. commercial drivers are not left out. increase fuel price by 10naira per litre and transport fare will increase by 50Precent.

my igbo brothers will pirate everything piratable.including condom. even our pastors have no intergrity as they keep enriching themselves while most of their members struggle to feed..

go to our universities, lecturers demand cash and sex for extra marks, even ur departmental secretary will ask for recharge card before she will show u ur result..

go to our govt owned establishments ..how many people can get international passport or drivers license at the govt approved price? except u want to collect ur passport in 3months time.

if most Nigerians are elected as our leaders, they will do much worse than our current politicians.

the entire country is in a total mess. but I'm sure we still have some people with integrity.. but that's like searching for a needle in a haystack

U better not mind this man who came out from a very controversial primaries after peddling unfounded claims/accusations against Fela durotoye. How can he talk about integrity? He gave claims that he can not prove. That’s my issue with him and his integrity.

Peoples Trust (PT) presidential candidate, Mr. Olawepo Hashim has steered a debate on the social media after releasing a graphic statement that simply said, ‘’ordinarily, Nigerians have integrity’’.

The rising presidential candidate, who is on the mission to lead a ballot revolution come 2019 urges his supporters to share the message if they have integrity themselves.

Recall that Hashim made similar remark during the People’s Trust (PT) stakeholders meeting over the weekend in Abuja, the nation's capital.

According to him, there used to be a time in Nigeria, when people selling will keep commodities by the road side, indicating the prices with unmber of stones placed on it and walk away with confidence without harm and come back either hours or days to meet pick money after being sold.

The third force candidate who is neck to neck with President Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar explained that, when people come to buy the items, they will pick what they want, drop their money without issue of theft which means Nigerians have integrity.

He maintained that the situation Nigeria found itself is as a result of failure of leadership and he is well-equipped to lead the nation to prosperity.

May be i will be considering this man as next president. I wanted to hastily comment initially but I manage to read through the sentences.

I won't deceive or bathe myself in the river of deceit such as it is now common with over 80% of Nigerians. Integrity is long dead and buried, for the last time I heard of Mr integrity was way back in the late 70ties. Mr integrity was shot by his familiar friends so it was remoured. It was later discovered that his wife conspire with outsiders to kill her husband as he would nt bend to their(conspirators) selfish will, so they considered it good to do away with him. Hence the arrival of greed whose skillful oratory sway the people to the triumph of the murderers.

Integrity by meaning :Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. In fact the synonyms of integrity is honesty. Every Nigerian u see on the street is silently motivated by greed fueled by economic woes. Therefore a potential criminal, who will do any thing to pull off his black linen of poverty. You can recalled all the sad events of the recent times eg yahoo plus, polticians decieveing people, subsidy scams etc
Even our market women and artisans are nt left out. Yet poverty still grip so hard and so strong because honesty is far from them.

My conclusion honesty is a myth in nigeria, don't let those cool face personality decieve you. Watch your back consistently and constantly update ur mind.

Two wrongs they say, cannot make a right.

When an action or say reaction is said to be expedient due to one reason or the other; even after the claimed reason is no longer there, people are known to get accustomed to their style of actions / reactions over time, subconsciously or deliberately.

Realistically, I know for one that the majority of people are sheepish in their resigning to fate, they quickly conform because they are so anxious to stake their claims (as essential as survival, as base as ego, and as profound as fulfillment) while a particular trend is still the order of the day, irrespective of whether the trend is good or bad, and their alignment inadvertently perpetuates the trend.

Well, my take after these premises goes as follow for Nigeria and beyond:

First, riddles in any seemingly difficult or perplexing reality in any scenario we find ourselves, surely require considering many perspectives to be sure we are not eluded away from the main fact(s) while being deceived / carried away by facades. Meanwhile, take it or leave it, figuring out these riddles are often the essence of our apparent difficulties in the first place, as such riddles are what gives us the opportunity to apply our hallmark as humans - our comparatively superior thinking faculty, which can make us figure out and withstand any 'how' in the most refined ways once our 'why' has been justified.

Furthermore on the first point, is finding what to eat as difficult as what it takes the food we eat to be digested, incorporated into the molecules of our body, and excreted as appropriate? Even the food that we eat which are either plants or animals, go through similar complexities for them to be suitable for us to consume, yet, we take these things for granted, thinking and taking only our comparatively primitive interfaces / inputs to these complex systems as the main thing that made everything, especially our survival to happen.

So, the question that's begged at us all is: Why is it that the more complicated things in life have often been taken care of by default while less difficult things are the ones left to be tackled? Acknowledging that this question deserves to be researched and answered supports the first point robustly.

If you would care to embark on the voyage for answering this, you may wanna have a look at the snippet below to have a glimpse into my small write-up that's titled: "The Paradoxes of Pragmatic Life".

THE PARADOX OF SELFLESSNESS

A situation that's wrongly conceptualized will always have all problems in it to be wrongly
defined, and all such wrongly defined problems are inherently insolvable, in fact, the wrong
perspective doesn't just render all efforts abortive but also adds insult to the injuries caused
by the real problems, i.e. complicate them. Thus is why the spectacle for discerning all things
from their very root is a prerequisite for our sojourn.

Think yourself to be created or evolved; what you cannot argue is that you cannot
consciously remember yourself to have striven before your existence; how come people have
been endowed with some widely varying basic resources, abilities, and so on? Also, if you
are the one of deep reflection, you get to know that although many people think that few
people have got all they've ever wanted of life, yet, the shrewd ones know that such
contention is far from the truth. So, the goal of living is the basic problem of economics.

There and then, let me let you into it point black: Selflessness is the best way of being
selfish. Ours model a case of someone that's given some fruits he couldn't have understood
how come he deserved it above others at the very beginning, and there are then those needing
of it from him, those who I now take to be like the fertile soil. Prudence tells the selfless man
that if only he should give (sow) some of his fruits (seeds), it would be appreciative of him by
that demeanor's portraying him to have reasoned that after all, “though my fruits are
insufficient, but yet, I know not how come I've deserved it better than the ones who weren't
given at all or as much as mine in the very first place”.

When temptation accuses him of foolishness in giving out of what wasn't sufficient for
him; he should use the spectacle that shows that Selflessness is the best way of being selfish.
He would then fathom that were him to eat it all; he would end up being hungry for sure, and
empty at heart for worst and for sure. Whereas, doing the opposite would scale up the fraction
he gave (sowed) to augment for his deficit; being that such is the lot of the one that passed the
deliberate test of selflessness that God (nature) tested by this setup, and at least, doing the
opposite would give him the heart fulfillment that even soothes hunger, and that hitherto
wasn't fulfilled, and that can only be exclusively thus fulfilled.

Your lack of a sense of responsibility is non existent. This has created a situation where you morally bankrupt that you will steal , bribe, cheat and still end up believing it is the fault of someone who probably lives thousands of miles and you will never meet in your entire life. It is clear you turned out short in the grey mmatter which is pathetic. One who can't reason is doomed.
