Jay's verse is the hardest I've heard this year bar none. I still don't believe he doesn't write these things. It's why he is the GOAT for me
Not when the likes of Em' and Nas are still alive.

Abeggi. Jigga is better than both of them. I look at an artiste's entire body of work not just a couple of tracks. Album for Album Jigga stands head and shoulders above both of them

How else do we rate an MC if not by their body of work? If someone has a better body of work than you do then how are they not greater? Em? Which Em?

Personally i feel most of Jay-Zs catalogue is overbloated and lacking substance

Reasonable doubt, Blueprint 1, and Black Album are his only classics imo.

Watch the throne is not a Jay Z album. Remove it from this list and add to the stuff he did Räpe Kelly and Linkin Park.

American Gangster and Gift/Curse I might go as calling straight rubbish.

The rest just there.

Bloated? Lmaooo. Even albums that were sub-par by Jay Z's standards are borderline classics for a lot of other rappers

American Gangster rubbish? The album with Blue Magic, I Know, Falling, Pray, Roc Boys? Lool go and jog your memory! That was a 5-star album

4:44 was a modern day classic as well better than anything Em had dropped since Eminem Show at the very least (Kamikaze and Revival were w@nk) Recovery and MMLP 2 gets a pass somewhat but truth be told those are the only quality albums he had dropped in 16 years

American Gangster was such a sub par album that Jay-Z released to cash in on Denzel's movie.

Eminem's first 4 major label albums are better than all of jiggas albums combined.

That's a fact.

It's no coincidence that nigga was murdered on his own shït by Eminem.

in terms of tekkers, Em beats jigga hands down.

Album sales- Em takes it again.

Jay Z is lucky that Eminem did not do drug dealer rap, otherwise....

Taaaa. It was a critical and commercial success.

If you take out misogynistic slurs and shots at pop stars you're not left with a lot from Eminem's first batch of albums. It's why the World got tired of him after Eminem Show and he dropped dud after did till Recovery. Another manageable album came after which was MMLP2 (emphasis on manageable not great)

I don't rate rappers based on sales else Nelly would be better than Nas

For all of Em's tekkers he's only dropped 2 good albums in 16 years. 2

Album for Album the margin is significant and

Quality over Quantity bruh. Any Man and His dog can drop 5 albums in a year(shyte sign me to a record label today and i'd drop 3 albums before the end of the year) but it's the substance each album carries that is the Koko.

You could argue that HOV is the better rapper of the two after all opinions are subjective but to flat out say He is head and shoulders above Nas and Em' is a No no.

The world got tired of a Guy that was still outselling other Rappers anytime He released an album? Fear gawd o.

Btw I also don't judge artiste solely based on record sales because I think part of it is due to popularity. Em' being a Great White rapper in a field largely dominated by Black artists has helped immensely.

That's the thing. Jay is not lacking quality nor quantity. He ticks every box.

You might have issues with the way I worded it but in terms of their relevance, overall discography and longevity Jay Z is tops.

Haba he said it himself! Go and listen to all his post Eminem Show albums.

I still maintain that post Eminem Show he's only had two really good albums

I'm not saying He is lacking quality overall. He is after all one of the Greatest Artists of all time. What I am saying however is that some of those albums you listed up there are lacking in quality.

I'd have to subtly disagree with you here. His relevance has as much to do with His celebrity lifestyle and His acute business acumen as it has to do with His music. Overall Discography is Him simply just simply churning out more albums.

Nah If you are including the likes of Blueprint 2 and 3, American Gangster, watch the throne,Kingdom.Come and the likes, then i'd have to include many of Em's albums and the likes of I am, Nastradamus, God's Son, Hip Hop is dead et al from Nas.

Forget the lifestyle. That's not what his peers consider when they ask him to come and bless their tracks. Especially the younger ones, even his own set! This nigga wrote Still Dre FFS

And no his discography buttresses my point. There has been no living rapper that has been relevant for as long as Jay Z has been purely based on his mic skills.
