It's highly illogical to link poverty and religion and it will be fallacious to say Nigeria is poor because of religion and developed countries are so because of less religion faithfuls.

First, developed countries started as highly religious countries and that didn't stop them from getting to where they are today

Also religion involves christianity, Islam and Buddhism and there are several countries what have devout faithfuls of these several religions and they are still doing fine.China and Singapore are dominated by Buddhists but that didn't stop them from developing.
Saudi Arabia and Egypt are islamic countries. Germany is being ruled by the Christian Democratic Union and they are obviously doing fine

A Church owned university, Convenant university is the best private university in Nigeria today and even one of the top five in the country, it might be argued in some quaters that they are the best in Nigeria. It has provided job opportunities for several Nigerians and they keep making ground breaking researches

Nigeria's problem is multifactorial, it's lack of insight to say people should not worship God because Nigeria if the poverty headquarters, let's tackle the main problems causing the poverty

I will conclude with the famously misquoted quote of Karl Max ;Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.

Nigerian poverty rate has a lot to do with our religious centres because the leaders of such places can stair the minds of the populace towards socioeconomic advancement. but they rather not

Investing man hours, income and synergy on the various churches, massive and mushroom that dote the entire country, can only lead to one result.

We've not even began to look at how logic and productivity is abandoned for the incredulous.

well you have to understand the law of three stages by August comte
theological stage
metaphysical stage
and positive stage

Nigeria currently ,we are in the theological stage
most of the Western world are currently in the positive stage

in my opinion relegion and poverty cannot be separated ..in my opinion one of the easiest way to get people work is trying to convince you them not to wait for an unexpected miracle ... all these are just characteristics of the theological stage
but the positive stage a good example is china which is demolishing churches and mosques, then placing premium on mathematics.. don't forget the same whites that brought this relegion to us are not as a relegious as we are,but don't forget they passed the same stage we are currently

but my little girl opinion relegion and poverty can't be separated

Nigeria poverty rate is due to corrupt leaders like Atiku and Tifnubu that divert govenment money to buy private jets,
Nigeria has the most materialistic and corrupt leaders that have ever existed in mankind.

How can poverty rate be due to religious centres, Saudi Arabia, Egypy, China, Singapore, Poland are highly religious countries but they are not poor.Even South Africa, the headquater of Christian Music in Africa that produced the Soweto gospel choir that won multiple gramys, they are doing fine.So there is no apparent relationship between poverty and religion.

yes I know
that's why I'm still gonna redirect you to August comte
the american society has moved from the theological stage to the positive stage ..one of the characteristics of the positive stage is scientific Advancement ,and science deals with what we can see ,
compare the way they practice relegion over there. it's humanity over relegion ...but over here its the opposite
