Lagos billionaire, Femi Otedola has declared to sponsor the trip of ailing Veteran Nigerian actor, Victor Toye Olakotan, who is at the moment lying down at the hospital crying out for financial assistance after suffering a ghastly motor accident.

According to reports, the accident occurred at Festac area of Lagos and he is since being receiving medical attention, however the funds to sustain his treatment has been exhilarating and the family can no longer afford to foot the bills. Olaitan who needs $50,000 to seek treatment abroad, has been facing the possibility of his two legs being amputated to save his life and his family has been treating him as best as they could in the last two years.

There is tendency that the actor’s legs could be amputated if he doesn’t receive immediate treatment. His family has since been begging Nigerians to raise the funds for him.

The latest gist about the news is that, the Forte Oil boss, Femi Otedola has decided to sort the bills. Mofe Damijo, a veteran Nollywood actor confirmed this claims via his social media page this morning.

It is well, the way our veterans are treated nowadays...the whole entertainment industry waited for FO... When they can actually raise these funds. The so called celebrity bloggers kept quite about this for 2years... Not to talk about the ordinary people who are in various clinics or hospitals who need even far less to keep them alive.

na packaging. They only use that to improve thier brands. All these actors shud beta relocate abroad cos of things like this. Boy alinco is in usa now doing executive uber and earning big. If he falls ill he wont need to beg.

Nigerian actors don't have money.

Only few make enough money to live well, majority are broke.

The Nollywood male actors living big used their fame well; most used their fame and popularity to marry rich ladies who then help their life to become better lol

If you watch well, only the female actors or let me say actresses appear to be rich, why

Appearing on movies help them to become popular and they get seen by Nigerian big men; politicians and top business moguls who then turn their life around for good by dishing out money to them to embark on vacations and acquire big properties and cars.

Only the A class actors make up to 5 - 10million in a year and not just through acting but through endorsement deals, adverts, presentations.

Actors like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade, Funke Akindele, Jim Iyke, etc.

Even Nigerian music artistes don't make money much through music due to piracy in Nigeria and Africa.

What helped most of them to start making good money is shows, concerts, YouTube revenues, and few endorsements, which actors don't do. If it is by selling their songs, most will be paupers
