I was so impressed with your knowledge on guns, i went to read some of your past posts.

You seem intelligent and very objective and dispassionate most times. Keep it up!

Of course. President Buhari is not obliged to do anything not in his favour. Who does that. There is no leader on earth who will pull the trigger that will amount to his own political suicide so please be realistic here. It behoves in the NA to play the politics that is required for it to 'get things done' and this is done in modern politics by horse trading, by crearing a zero sum scenario and forcing the President to make what amounts to a Hobson's choice. Unfortunately most in the NA are not that smart. Rarely will you see in modern politics stand alone issues of great importance being battled for. We must evolve our polity so that we posses the carrot and stick mentality at all times. Politics is like chess. You either have incentives at hand or create multiple strike positiins to give your adversary no easy options.

They have till the 19th of december to overide the president, if they can, before this becomes an expired issue that can no longer be debated. Saraki knows he can't get 72 other senators to back him, so let's see the fraud he would try to pull off.
Re: 2018 Electoral Bill: Can The National Assembly Override The President Assent? by DMerciful(m): 7:46am On Dec 09, 2018
President is not interested in signing. The fourth time the bill was sent to him, it was worked on by the Senate and executive to avoid rejection but it was still rejected!
seunmsg:
The only reason Saraki is still senate president is because APC couldn’t muster the required number to impeach him. The same reason is why PDP cannot override the president’s veto in the case of the electoral act. The leadership of the National Assembly should dialogue with the executive and resolve grey arrears in the bill instead of trying to use the media to stampede the president into signing.

I dont agree with your comment. I just thinl the SP is being careful not to push an agenda at the detriment of the country. Buhari is a ethnic bomb waiting to be induced into an explosion. Its not that they couldnt impeach him or override his actions but some stupid mofos are just waiting for that as an excuse to go into full war... Especially someone that has curried all the security agencies into his fold. Thats the bigger worry as civil war may ensue after and the stupid president wont mind the blood shedding, He would even act like he is not aware of anything.. Thats why this man is to dangerous to be a president. There is nothing peaceful about him, the blatant truth.

Point of correction. I see Buhari as a good leader not a slave master.

I can bet with my blokos that you had no idea of the reasons why Buhari rejected the bills 4 times.

No need of arguing with you.
Hehehe.. this one is pained..
Meanwhile, u see him like that cause you are being biased.. but am telling u d truth.. and also, am not arguing.. buhari rejected the bill cause he knows he can't win free n fair

I quite understand you Bro but what happened to national interest?

Remember GEJ could have persecuted the opposition during his time, and even contested the elections that brought buhari to power at the tribunal and he'd have won because the evidences pointing to electoral misconduct were glaring yet he choose to look the other way because of the lives involved and the crisis that would plunge Nigeria into.

Buhari and his followers claim he's a Democrat and a man who's got integrity so why can't he put it to work and help deepen our electoral process? Must it be all about getting reelected? Nigerians are in for this sha as long as we continue to let ourselves be willing tools to their antics.

As long as they keep dividing us along the zombie /wailer lines, the north and south lines, etc, we'd never get it right. The people supporting buhari today over these bad maneuvers don't know buhari's generation is eternally made; the same thing I tell people who sell their votes. It's your children's lives they are complicating! You want to re elect a man who doesn't have a single achievement not clouded in controversy despite being president for over 3 years because you feel power would rotate to your tribe come 2023?

Look at Nigeria and with the kind of useless political class we have, what is the future of the country in the next 20 years if we continue like this? Imagine a small boy of about 16 coming to meet me at warri during my last visit there if I could teach him yahoo yahoo or if I knew someone who could. Just imagine!

no don’t be sentimental about the issues , As it’s now in the NA APC don’t have the number to sack Saraki as their SP same way PDP don’t have the numbers to impeach Buhari ... so don’t feel Saraki can do something but he is not willing to do it for the sake of peace ... you have no idea how Desperate Saraki is , Saraki can do anything to even kill Buhar not to talk of impeach ... the truth is that Saraki don’t have the numbers and Buhari too don’t have the numbers ... this is very dangerous for the growth of the country ... anyway let watch how it end ... they have till December 19th ...

It's like you don't understand what's going on?

There's nothing like grey area in the bill, he just intentionally reject it "because election is close". There's nothing to correct in it, it's just the president choice.

There is no need to be smart by quarter Buhari is not signing the bill n you can go to hell or simply do your worst.
I usually don't reply online attention seeking dolts like you but you make an exception.

Let me make this very clear to you son...Whether Nigeria burns or not, it seriously won't affect me. I have the means of making my parents and sibling very comfortable outside the cursed shores of this country.

I am like any other sane Nigerian who's campaigning for a better country. A country you'd be happy to call your own outside. Until we see some things beyond politics we'd never get it right!

The bill in debate now, is it a bad selfish bill? Is it a self aggrandizing bill which the National Assembly is known for? No. It's a bill which seeks to make our electoral process more transparent and you have to understand it would apply to both the opposition alike which you people are claiming are rooting for the bill to target buhari.

Question is if buhari believes he's a man of integrity who's done well and deserves reelection, why is he hiding behind a grossly ambiguous electoral act if he or his cohorts don't have ulterior motives to undermine the electoral process?

Try to think this out like a rational being without your Sai baba programming then let's argue with facts not emotions.

Nigerians have to learn to know how to differentiate between politics and national interest

Even though I think there are no grey areas in the bill, but I still think it came a little bit too late for the president to assent to it.

We all know the tactics there guys at the NASS are trying to pull.

It's all politics an no body wants to risk his chances. Do you think you the president would sign a bill that may jeopardise is re-election bid?

I think you are double speaking.

In one breath it seems you are accusing the President of declining his assent while in another breath (like this quote) you are blaming the political class.
Where do you really belong?

I am not double speaking friend. Is the president not among the political class also? If he were honest as he and hits handlers claims he is, why is he hiding behind an ambiguous electoral act against national interest?

You have to understand I only digressed a bit to drive home a point.

If former president Jonathan had not put the interest of Nigeria first before his own personal interest maybe you will not be giving this narrative. The issues preceding the 2015 elections were obviously not in the former president's favour but he chose to put the country's interest first.

Haha just say you are empty upstairs and have nothing to counter sane reasonable argument. Just say you are as dull as the dullard you support... I won't judge you after all the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree Lol

And for the records, I'm not a bigot, I am a typical example of a decentralized and detribalized Nigerian with friends from all parts of the nation; Unlike fools like you and your ilk who go about chasing people who aren't chasing you, hating a particular tribe all because of selfish political grand standings that won't even put food on your table.

Hate kills and hating me or Atiku or Saraki isn't going to make your problems go away and come next year, we are retiring the old bigot at Aso rock and sending him back to his undeveloped village. Maybe after that, he can come be president over you and your fellow zombies in zombie country! Hahaha

Amadioha kill you there!
