Thing just keep hitting Huawei this week, since their CFO got arrested. BT announced that they will be removing equipment from “key areas” of its 4G network. New Zealand also blocked the sale of Huawei to their regional areas claiming it’s a “significant network security risk.”

It now looks like the Japanese government is also set to halt government purchases of equipment from Huawei and ZTE. Citing unnamed sources, Reuters says the decision was motivated by a need to beef up the country’s defences against “intelligence leaks and cyber attacks.”


The Japanese government is expected to formally introduce the new policy on Monday, with chief government spokesman Yoshihide Suga stating that cybersecurity is a key issue for the country:

I think its high time the Chinese starts reciprocating these bans On some of these tech giants outside China.

You think all this is because of security threat? It is just attempt to slow China giant down, since they are growing fast in semiconductor development and they beat western nation to 5g, they are doing what they did to Russian defence industry to Chinese telecom and semi conductors giants, they just have to find an excuse to act.
