Christmas: The Mysterious Disappearance Of Usual December Fuel Scarcity by Samunique(m): 12:55pm On Dec 11, 2018
A few weeks ago, the the chairman of MURIC Prof Ishiak Oloyede raised an alarm over "a plan by some people to create an artificial fuel scarcity this December and asked the FG to do all it can in its power to stop it, most especially as the 2019 elections draw near.

If you cast your mind back to what happened last year and year before, about the painful experience the Nigerians passed through due to fuel scarcity and unavailability of cash in banks, which looked like, "a deliberate attempt to frustrate people's movements with Christmas and new year celebration. ( My Opinion Though ).

For some years now this has been the case, we always have if tough most especially, during Christian festive periods.
But I'm surprised that this year, we're almost cruising to the Christmas and new year celebration without any of these itches. Could my assumption up there be right that these problems are man made, and religious-politically motivated ?

Now, take a look at the man who first raised the alarm, MURIC Chairman/President, where was he last year when people had to pay through their nose in order for them to travel for Christmas and new year celebration , while some couldn't even make it due to unaffordable transport fair bcs of fuel scarcity ?

But this year reverse seems to be the case as Christmas is almost here, no fuel scarcity, no cash shortage in banks, everything seems to be going on smoothly bearing any last minute changes which I doubt bcs of 2019 elections are around the corner.

So Nairalanders, your observations, opinions are welcome.

From now till February, we should be expecting JACKIE work from FG. As the election is around the corner, they will do all they can to avoid fuel crisis this year. FG had already agreed to pay part of the subsidy payment on Dec 14th or so.

Fuel scarcity has always been manmade coupled with FG negligence. Some marketers make total profit from January-November in just December.

Both masses and the elites feel ( good or bad ) this present government in the same measure.

Can you please explain the quoted post for me?

Where was he last year??
Is he the one in charge of petroleum supply??

So you're looking for a way to blame Muslims for Fuel scarcity?? grin grin

Just come out straight.

You should even commend MURIC for raising alarm early..

Lastly, it's Nigerian way to make things ridiculously expensive during all festive period

Because many people are going by public transport and don't necessarily need fuel for anything.
