I've come to realize that a lot of people on Nairaland do not know what YIM in their profile means. Sometimes while viewing profiles, you see answers like: - I don't know what this mean - What is YIM - YIMU - Who cares - Dont't bother etc There are so many funny and even naughty response but actually the truth is many do not know what it means. YIM is an abbreviation for Yahoo Instant Messenger (also known as Yahoo Chat). YIM was like Facebook or WhatsApp (obviously before Facebook or WhatsApp started) in its days and everybody online had it. That was around 1997 & 2005, can't remember well enough. I believe Nairaland was built around that period. It's 2018, may be the designers should do a design review. That's for the owners to decide though. Le'ts learn & laugh a lil bit.
