Hey frnd, pls don't resign from your job yet. Even if your name appears on the first list don't resign until u make the final. You can take a brk from your work place. Even if a general has assured u of the army job still don't resign yet.

They way I see things, it seems the competition is very high. Evey general wants his wards in the military.

My dad was gistin with his course mate on phone and their gist moves from their usual talk to postings and enlistment talk. The man told my dad that he has told his nephw not to rely on the army job because his hands are shorts. That the big boys have taken over the enlistemnt exercise process.

That's when I realised that all generals are powerful but some are more powerful.

If a general could say his hands are shorts in the exercise then you know what it means.

Just pray for God's favor and dont quit your job yet.

I applied for this ongoin NN enlistemnet exercise and my dad gave my details to his course mate a commodore to work it out.

The list came out and my name wasn't on the list. The commodore's daughter's name came out. When my dad called him, he told my dad that he was asked to give only one name. And you know a man will not chose his friend's daughter over his own daughter. So he picked his daughter.

The commodore told my dad that he's not sure his daughter will make the final list. Because e get as e b. Every red collar officer wants his child there.

I don't blame them. I blame the situation of the country. No jobs.

What am I trying to say? The chances of getting this military job with or without connection is small.

Imagine the need only 3 candidates from a whole state and in that same state there are more than 10 generals and these generals all want their wards enlisted.

So brother think before you act.

I met a 2 star Airforce General concerning Airforce matter. Before I even greet him finish sef the man ask me what I'm doing currently(For my mind I said God wants to use this man arrange my matter) I told him, but insisted I want to join Airforce. Baba paused for like 5 good minutes I was thinking maybe he was trying to pull one or two strings @Hq NAF, I was like father lord as you did it for Esther and she found Favour in the sight of King Ahaseurus so will I find favour in AVM **** . Baba come back from trance oo, come begin tell me the story of him life, how him take enter Airforce without knowing anybody and stuffs like that(immediately my spirit just weak cos I know how the matter go take end) Una Sabi as e de be na after e preach finish e tell me say make I believe God.
After much much I just carry my sef find my square root and 2 of the man children na commissioned officers oo, one still de NDA...
Naija now na family first oo b4 any other person.

Same with me. My dads class mate in NMS is a rear admiral (RC) working in the naval headquarters Abuja. Dad is a colonel (DRC) working at AHQ, Abuja. Still my name didn't come out.

Am 26, but I already told my parents I won't try the Armed Forces after this year. I just want to shed the final tears and call the military dream career over.

First nda interview was 2009 61 RC (quota system was what I felt ruled me out this year, Chief of defence staff at the time Paul dike was from my local government)

Second nda interview was 2012 64 RC (board chairman who later went on to become the chief of naval staff was from my state) Dele ezeoba or maybe he was the board chairman for 65rc (can't really remember)

Third nda interview was 2013 65 RC ( I don't really remember the details of this year's interview)

It's not all states that requires too much connection to get this military job

Sometimes your connection may not even have your time. When money speaks, every other thing doesn't matter.

I know a major sons that got into nda 65rc and in that same state a Maj Gen son was on reserve list.

Connections sometimes are complicated

Dssc is even more complicated in terms of connection than SSC

Cos a lot feel there is enough cover from combat zones when you apply for DSSC.
You're from Delta right?
It's very easy for people from ebonyi to get it. I know many people that claim ebonyi state and where taken or at least made it to the board.

Real survuval of the fittest. I've seen a general puts two of his sons in NDA. And another general of the same rank was struggling to put one of his children but couldn't
funniest is that one of the sons of that general don't like army. Was forced into it.

Oga d Fact is most of d big men's in d military want their sons/wards to belong, cos is easy for them, and also they want their siblings to follow their foot steps by being someone in future. Also some join it as option to get Employed in a FG agency dat paid at least an Average salary. Dats my own view sir
