Buhari has said over time that the FG can comfortably pay the N30,000. It's the states we are concerned about. They cannot even meet up with salary payments with minimum wage at N18,000, how on earth will they cope with N30,000?
I think continuous engagement is the key! There should be a staggered increase in minimum wage starting from N30,000 and maybe a review after 2,3 years.
Furthermore, the NLC should stop trying to milk political capital put of this wage review. They should stop making it seem like the FG is dragging its foot on it. The states are the ones that cannot afford it! Not the FG!

A senator earns over 10mil per month on basic salary, minus security votes and other allowances and fg will collapse if it pays civil servants minimum wage of 30k.. Which is not even up to a hundred USD... i laugh at Nigeria and it's lousy government angry

In South Africa the minimum wage is over two hundred thousand naira and no complaints because government is taking taxes from it unlike in nigeria

Dialogue for how many months? You see the government spending billions yet we don't see what the money is been used for but to pay #30k is a big deal, did you know how much budgeted for Buhari's feeding, hair cut or even the clinic that can't boast of paracetamol?

I thought this government promise to cut down government expenditures?

In the last couple of years and at N18,000 min wage, many State governments owed their workers but the workers didn't go on strike. Even when FG gave them bailouts, the governors diverted the money. Still no strike. Why were they helpless against the governors. If we are running federal system of government, why should they expect FG to impose and enforce uniform minimum wage on state governments with consulatation?

FG is ready and willing to pay the N30,000 but the question is, does FG has the right the impose and enforce a minimum wage on federating units - the state governments without due consultations.

You wanted to make sense but you later forgot.

If Lagos has 10,000 workers

Zamfara will have 1,000

There's nothing less. It's statistical.

Secondly, let us know how much the executive is collecting now that NASS take home is opened.

The determinants are revenue from federation account, Internally generated revenues , cost of living, number of workers and infrastructure needs. There must a balance.

Because they pay you N30k Npower money right? Foolish people every where. Federal govt can't pay minimum wage, but they're moving state to state sharing N10000. What a useless govt ever...

Zero objectivity! The FG has repeatedly agreed on the N30,000! Eve when the minimum wage proposed by Labour was N52,000, the FG agreed to pay but the states have to be in agreement. When the states were brought in to negotiate with Labour, the meeting concluded in the states being able to pay only N30,000 and not the N52,000 Labour had proposed to the FG.
You people should try to be objective in your criticism and not allow sentiments cloud you. I live abroad and I don't collect Npower money like you have ignorantly posted. I really pity people like you!

More importantly, can Federal Government impose and enforce a minimum wage on the federating units (the states) without due consultation and discussion.
People like you, no matter what the government does, it's always Ok and the right thing. Buhari could sh!t in your mouth and you would gladly lick it because of your blind and unpatriotic support for Buhari. To people like you, Buhari is your god. Isn't it interesting that you said "further dialogues" are what is needed for a new minimum wage that has been due since almost 3 years ago?? Even when the same government already set up a committee with NLC, TUC and the rest, that agreed and submitted their report over a month ago? What other dialogues are you talking about again?
FG should implement the new minimum wage, any state governor who refuses to toe the same line, let the state's NLC respond through voting out the governor, instead of FG hiding under the guise that states can't pay.
Wow! People like you defend Buhari without shame, even when the government is obviously buying time and delaying probably till after election.
