Kind of but i think Turkish airline usually leaves last around past 11 pm before midnight in Abuja airport, from then there are usually no flights till around 4am when BA arrives. So within that inactive period those Airport security usually close the entrance only to allow staffs on duty in & out

Anybody reading this news that have access to the concerned authorities should please bring it to their notice.

How can an international airport close, have never heard it or experience it in my years of traveling; instead of using the opportunity to present gifts to the travelers in the spirit of the seasons.

Not even Rwanda’s Kigali airport as small as it is closes anytime of the day.

So much for gaint of Africa

But I believe we will get there...the upcoming generation only needs to have a positive mindset, so when we get there, we are fully prepared.

Heathrow airport closes from 11:30pm until 6am

Same for Zurich international airport

In some airports, closing time though does not mean one can't snooze on benches.

some times your Visa can not allow you into any country you want so the best option is you stay in the airport till your flight use ready
cause if you travelling to USA and you stop in Dubai for next flight you can not be allowed into Dubai to go get hotel cause you don't have a visa for Dubai the country provides for you guys at the airport till your flight is ready that's the way it is done any where in the world for international travel

That's how it is in all airports in Nigeria. When is midnight, Airforce officials do chase people out of airport, u can't even sleep in parked car. I narrowly escaped that in Port Harcourt airport last Wednesday.

Because the closest hotel to that airport is no where close. You have to practically leave the airport and head for places like Kuje and Lugbe before you see anything that looks like a befitting hotel. That means the likelihood of missing your flight has been raised by 50%!

Anyway, I will blame the overzealous FAAN security staff, they are the ones usually shutting down the place around that time even other airport staff will not be able to move in and out at their will. All this I presume is in a bid no one disturbs ~~their sleep~~ them throughout that period!

People sleep at the airport mr man,what if your transfer flight is scheduled for 6am and you got to the airport by 3am??
I got to the international airport in Doha,Qatar by 4:15am,my next flight was scheduled for 6am,some was scheduled for 8am(a guy i meant on the plane travelling to London),what should they do during that period??
You just dont have sense at all!
