It will only take another government to uncover the fraud called under recovery cost that is being perpetuated at the NNPC.

On the flip side.... Why is no one talking about our refineries

one,the fg under the military have built 3 refineries and enacted and made all forms legalization of federal authority with respect to building of refineries.
two,fg as at now does not have funds to build one
three, the political structure is averse against the building of refineries unless some key issues are addressed
if they cannot afford why not license to operators who are capable like they did in telecomms? Which key issues that a whole federal govt of Nigeria cannot address? Do you underestimate the will of your govt? We have soldiers to protect the facility if you mean unrest?

fg has issued guidelines for construction of modular refineries and it was developed to be done in three stages.the company will appy for license to establish then it needs another license to construct a refinery after construction it will apply for license to operate the refinery it has built. No private company can take the fg serious with these Kilimanjaro excuses of three stage licenciate.

Can you pay 200 Naira for a litre of petrol while they are building the refinery?
did u stop using fuel when they increase it to 145? Did u object to the paying 145 and even if u did was the price reversed

daily consumption is 40 million for petrol
Are you a spokesperson for the NNPC?,cos the NNPC said our daily consumption is now 60m litres which even caused saraki to voice out,but Even if your claims are true, why couldn't the NNPC approach the NASS for appropriation of the funds as constitution demands instead of unilaterally going to spend huge sums of money in an opaque manner in the name of a dubious under recovery, ordinarily the NASS should start an investigation into the scam of under recovery but the buhari worshipping APC members led by gbajabiamila will shamelessly tell you they will not allow the buhari's integrity to be rubbished!,but the same disgraceful lot will turn around to accuse others of corruption!.

the problem started in the claim by pmb that subsidy did not exist and the current subsidy payments by the fg to private fuel importers is a fraud(then it was around 30million a day for petrol).
for the current administration it decided to offload direct payment to private importer and made nnpc the sole monopoly of imports.(which means it can draw funds from fg account with permission from the president and the word "under recovery" was coined) but fg is still using private fuel contractors for imports therefore we have a combined import bill of 40 million per day.(I don't know how nnpc wants to claim 60 million).
so the present government has not solved any problem but rather shifted power back to nnpc(which does not want the idea of establishment and operation of private refineries).
This position seats fine with a lot of the politicians in Nigeria therefore an investigation by nass is an exercise in futility.

Is it the NASS that told you that investigating the under recovery regime of this administration will be an exercise in futility?just call a spade a spade n accept that there is massive corruption going on under this government n stop speaking with both side of the tongue.

was is the massive corruption in subsidy payments of either administration(whether you decide to pay direct to fuel contractors or you pay nnpc to pay fuel contractors).the only issue is the rise in total number of fuel imports!
Nass can only challenge the validity of whether the volume of daily imports is 30 million,40 million or 100 million!
As the state of facilities and instruments used in Nigeria to determine the volume of oil products it either lifts or receives is faulty ,the exercise by Nass will be an exercise in futility.

All top executives of NNPC must go to jail for looting in the name of subsidy.
