what about the maintenance, parts and durability

High maintenance but the parts are easily got since it is a luxury alternative made by Toyota still. It is durable and the fuel consumption is low. Has nice cruise control and is regarded as "a chairman" of cars for second tier luxury.

The Lexus Es350 2009 is a very good Luxury sedan it comes with a 3.5 liter v6 engine, it's nt very good in fuel economy, but has very powerful cruise. It shares similar engine with the toyota highlander 2009 and toyota Avalon/ toyota Venza/Camry XLE V6. Talking about second HAND value, it's a lie, the lexus ES350 has good second hand value as its the Now preferred choice over the camry XLE since it's more luxurious than the camry. The tokunbo 2009 Es350 sells for abt 3.8m, while the Nigerian used presitine version sell between 2.5m/3m. I personally would advise you go for the 2010/2011 model of the lexus Es350 or the upgraded version of the 2009 model

Change mechanics. If he's scared of a 2009 Toyota, he's pretty much useless.

I use a 2008 model. One of best life decisions. One thing though, try to always service at Toyota company, roadside mechanics can damage the car. I got mine from Cotonou, 3years to date and no problems. it's a lovely faithful car

LOL, guess he is just scared of a V6, would get a good service center in Abuja then.
