mybestlove:There's no need to argue with my ancestors b'cos i agree with you....to a large extent that is! Though we in the south (the elite most especially) should shoulder at least 18% of the blame for not having the sense and balls to read the riot act to the hegemonic north on a take-it-or-leave-it basis! Nigeria, with its faulty foundation, was always bound to encounter problems, but what compounded our problem was when semi-illiterate, visionless, bigoted and self-centred core northern muslims (esp those in the military) started calling the shots after the 1966 coup, while intelligent, liberal and world-respected leaders like Zik and Awo were relegated to mere spectators! |

Listen to the English a grade II teacher Balewa spoke then. And listen to how SANs and PhD holders speak today. You will see what went wrong. Americans and the West are not imbeciles not to know. We simply slipped into mediocrity. And the world is very unforgiving of mediocre people. As of 1961, only very few countries in the Southern hemisphere had better prospects than us. Dubai and others were villages. Singapore & Malaysia were on about same footing as us. |

What went wrong was the introduction of tribal politics which was shortly followed by the civil war. Then we put incompetent military leader's like Buhari in power in order to clean up the mess. But it can all be reversed of we elect a young vibrant leader like Sowore. AAC Take It Back 2019. Help Donate To Omoleye Sowore's Campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/sowore2019. |

Nigeria gets what it deseves. Scorn and disrespect from even dwarf nations like Kenya. By the 60s, Biafran intellectuals evinced great promise with their technological prowess. This showed in the locally made explosives and guns they made for the biafran army who stood up to the Nigerian army. After the war, instead of the Nigerian leaders to incorporate and nourish the Biafran knowledge, they chose to demonize and ostracize it. |

You don't need anybody respect. First define yourself and carve a space for yourself, and respect would come naturally. |
