Happy new year my umifamily. What a way to kick start the new year. A friend's Gionee A1 plus which he bought for 80k was stolen a couple of months ago. He has even given up on finding it. I took the complain to the police headquarter on his behalf last month. To my greatest surprise I got a call from the CID yesterday night that my phone has been recovered that I should come along with 5k to pick it up tomorrow. I am so excited.

As much as I'm happy about the new band for Glo I don't think it's band 3.

I tried the same procedure that Lanre did with LTE discovery when both my Sims were on and I got band 7. I only saw the band 28 when I disabled my MTN and only left the Glo SIM active. I've asked that he repeats the process with just th Glo but no response yet.

As for the big 4G icon it's only on the A3 and A3 pro both of which do not have band 28. But the umidigi one and umidigi one pro have very small 4G icons

Are you in Lagos? If yes have you considered that this band may still not be present here yet?

U don't get me, I agree there's a new band but in as much as there's 2 Sims in the phone the line in SIM 1 takes precedence, so unless he disables the alternate SIM he won't get the true band.
