Parenting is largely an individual race. Whilst I agree that people- parents may feel somewhat culturally or socially bound to accept and guide thier children within certain rules/ expectations it is not compulsory and people will make choices that’s best for them.

An 11 years old boy in earrings May be completely unacceptable to you but acceptable to his parents who ultimately are responsible for the child at this time!

More so how does his wearing earrings or not change the price of fish in the market?

I’d advice you focus on ensuring that your own children don’t wear earrings as against chastising someone else’s parenting choices!

Cheers and happy new year

Ya first paragraph is so brilliantly crafted. It wowed me.

The third paragraph is jus a pathetic attempt for a joke.

Ya conclusive advice made a lot of sense from an individualistic point of parenting but d op is referring to societal and cultural standards practiced here in Africa, specifically in Nigeria.

Anyway... I like u wink
