2019: Governor Wike urges Rivers people to support his promise-keeping administration

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on Rivers people to sustain their support for his administration in the forthcoming elections because he has fulfilled his campaign promises.

Addressing journalists after inspecting projects on Saturday, Governor Wike said that it is important for Rivers State to continue with his administration that has executed life changing projects in different parts of the state.

He said that Rivers people don't need to be deceived by politicians who are from political parties that make promises without fulfilling such pledges.

He said: "This year will still be a year of projects. For us, the goal is to deliver projects and fulfil our promises to the people of Rivers State.

"We will not allow politicking to detract us from the goal of projects delivery and improving the lives of the people.

"Therefore, Rivers people should keep faith with our administration. They should re-validate the mandate they gave us, because we have used our first term to fulfil our promises to them.

Speaking further, Governor Wike said: "They shouldn't believe in people who will come to tell them what they will do. They should believe in people who are already doing the work.

"Instead of somebody coming to tell them if you vote for me, I will do this. Somebody is already doing the work, they should vote for him. They should stand with the person already delivering the projects".

Governor Wike stated that he is satisfied with the quality of work at the project sites inspected.

The governor who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Housing, Mr Chinedu Tasie and Director General, Rivers State Bureau for Public Procurement, Mr Igonibo Emmanuel Thompson visited Judges Quarters, Mile One Market and Fruit Garden Market.

Simeon Nwakaudu,

Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media.

Wike remains the worst governor Rivers had ever produce. No vision, no blueprint, no foresight. He has succeeded in destroying almost all the sectors of Rivers economy..... Education that was once Free and qulititative is now is now heavily paid for and in a sorry state and exactly Same can be said of the health sector. Rivers that was once making strides in agriculture through RSSDA has suddenly relinquished that promising treasure no thanks to the vision less one....the Buguma fish farm, tai plantation among others come to mind.

Human capital development through RSSDA where youths are empowered with skill and thousands trained abroad has been a thing of the past in the state.
Rivers state is currently the dirtiest state in the country.
No major infrastructural project has been carried out by wike except completion of very few road project that is between 70-90%completed by the previous administration

Wike is a curse to true Rivers people
