FABRIC ACCOUNTING IN THE FASHION HOUSE
Keep your fabrics safe in proper way,
know which fabric you are having,
what date you got them and when are they to be delivered,
yes you can do that no matter the amount of fabric or clients you have

START LIKE THIS

1. get a fabric's book
2. title the book as( incoming fabric book) IFB
3. cut SWATCHES from the edge of the incoming fabric, at the width of ¾ inch by 1& ½ inches
4. Place it in a page and held it with the masking tape to the page
5. Title the page with the clients name in the front of the fabric and put the date received, and the date to be delivered
6. Indicate the choice of the style by abbreviation that you and your team understand
7. This book will be made available and as well being kept safe,
A client may bring in as much fabric as she want to make, the mistake of living them in the bag they were brought in, because if by mistake a fabric is misplaced or not even brought to your shop, you can end up paying for what you didn't even see. So rap them each with masking tape and put the same name on it
2. Masking tape : This is the same gum tape that you will use to attach fabrics pieces to their owners page and as well as cut like one yards to rap the fabric and write the clients name in the tape.
3. Shelf : Arrange the shelf in an alphabetical order or in alphabetical ranges like A-E , F-J and something like that so that you don't have to rummage the shelf before you can see the particular fabric you need.
4. Scissors : This is for cutting the pieces and the masking tape, all this being kept with the fabric keeper in order to have a smart keeping.
5. Pen. We all know the work of pen already, to write details on the book and the fabric.
You can improve more by having a scanner and display computer and printer in that section for long time back-up, by so doing you will never loose any information about your fabric,
You can as well focus your fabric shelf with a cam to improve safety.
What is worth doing is worth doing well.
