For the first time since the scandal broke out, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday finally spoke on the alleged audio leak involving Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation describing it as lies sponsored by those bent on frustrating President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election.

The party also foreclosed the possibility of an investigation to verify the authenticity saying it believes the Minister did not utter the statements ascribed to him.

Speaking with Daily Independent, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the party’s National Publicity Secretary said the same persons behind the audio leak were also responsible for the falsehood that President Muhammadu Buhari has connections with a bank and telecoms companies.

He said they were also the ones peddling rumours that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the party slumped and was rushed to the hospital in Abuja.

“We are not investigating anything because we know the audio leak is fallacious. We know full well that Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation didn’t say anything like that. So, why should we investigate what doesn’t exist?”

“It is just in line with what they have been doing. Before Amaechi, they said the president has connections with some banks.

“After Amaechi, they said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu slumped and was rushed to hospital. That was their wishful thinking. Asiwaju is hale and hearty. He was present today at the meeting we had at the Banquet hall.

“They are so shameless that each day, they come up with fallacy and if that lie is exposed, they move on to another lie without even apologising for the one that has just been busted. So, there is nothing to investigate in the audio leak. It is all lies” he said.

Yes, it's been confirmed that you don't make use of your brain. How can you reason this shallow.

Even a dullard would know that any investigation to the audio will amount to endengering the smooth sail of APC campaign and may even cause them the election.
They already know Amaechi can say that because everybody including you know that Bubu has failed in many areas especially considering his campaign promises which is very far from being fulfilled.

Yes the other allegations may be false but U see this audio, Amaechi is the man behind the voice. Quote me anywhere but i know that particular one isn't a lie. Buhari should get used to that.
