I applied for a visitor visa for my parents, they got 3 years based on the expiry on their passports, they PROBABLY could have been given more if they had a longer duration on their passports...you can get multiple years with TRV OmoBendel24: |

You cannot attend school on a visitor visa, unless you will be studying for less than 6 months... you need a study permit; to get a study permit you need an admission letter from your high school.. You might want to visit the Canada CIC website, plus google search info. There is a Canada study thread on Nairaland as well but the focus is on post secondary education so not sure it will be helpful, you can try asking your questions there as well. There are guidelines for sponsoring a relative(note that this is different from just paying your expenses, it is kind of like adoption). Maybe there is a way your relatives can sponsor you to school there without a study permit, I am not sure what the conditions/rules are ? Check details on the CIC website Fiisayo99:

Regarding the age reduction option you will be considered a minor, here is a link with some information on education for minors https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/minor-children.html Fiisayo99: |

Peaceful2016: Totally wrong. Her 6months starts counting once she enters either of the countries. Mind you 6months stay is not automatic its at the discretion of the immigration officer at the POE so always check what duration you are stamped in for. |

pufframmy: You are not being asked to pay rather your card details will be held except you are going for a hotel that wants instant payment. You must check the hotel properly or try another one. 1 Like |

Dear all, please for an online visit visa application, do i have to print out the imm5257b_1 form.pdf, sign and then scan back to attach on my application? Help with info please. Thanks |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Sirtenburg(m): 9:51am On Jan 13, 2019 |
flgd: How do I sign my online application? You have to type in your name and answer a security question to submit your application. This is your electronic signature. Do not print out your application form to sign it. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Thanks, does this apply to imm5645e too. Cos i was told that one has to be printed and signed. The place to sign on it does not allow for you type in a name. Sirtenburg: |

flgd: The one you need to print and sign is IMM5713E cos you can't save your details. 1 Like 1 Share |

I currently have a valued 2 yrs Uk visa and my visiting USA visa just expired last month. Please let me knw what u think. I have also been to Dubai Uk and USA on different occasions FYI . Since my student visa was denied this January is it a good idea to apply for Canada tourist visa mid year 2019?. If yes please advise me |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by OmoBendel24: 5:08pm On Jan 13, 2019 |
@Ninab and @MizGene; "Visa application centres will screen all applications for CAN+ eligibility. Applications that show that the applicant travelled to Canada in the last 10 years or holds a valid U.S. non-immigrant visa will be sent to the visa office for expedited processing." If going the paper route, call their attention to your qualifications for this at the VFS Office when you go for application submission. 2 Likes 1 Share |

wintabotom: No much biggy, looks good still! But if you can renew your B1/B2 visa first, it may help. Never "forget" to indicate truthfully in your application that your US F1 visa application was refused, very important. 2 Likes 1 Share |

OmoBendel24: Ok thanks but getting a b1 b2 is pretty tough these days. I would wait for a while then re apply. Honestly I don’t want b1 b2 again coz the denial rate is quite high these days |
