He's not Igbo. His father is Ahoada in Rivers and his mom is Yoruba.

If he was from Ahoada it wouldn't be wrong to refer to him as Igbo because Ahoada East is related to Igbo but then he's from Abua. Abua shares similarity with Odual but not with Igbo.

None of the three. Abua language and Odual are grouped as 'Cross River languages'. Which would mean that they are allied to Ogbia (Goodluck Jonathan's people), Ogbolum, then (further up the language tree) to Obolo (Andoni), Ogoni and the Ibibio-Annang-Efik cluster of languages.
