3 (d)  receive  complaints  about  non‐compliance  with  or  breach  of  this  Act  and  where  the  Bureau  considers it  necessary  to  do  so,  refer  such  complaints  to  the  Code  of  Conduct  Tribunal  established  by  section  20  of this  Act  in  accordance  with  the  provisions  of  sections  20  to  25  of  this  Act:  

Provided  that  where  the  person  concerned  makes  a  written  admission  of  such  breach  or  noncompliance,  no  reference  to  the  Tribunal  shall  be  necessary.

This law has to be tested in the tribunal because the CJN still has to explain why he is operating foriegn accounts contrary to civil service rules.

This section saved both Ahmed Tinubu and Saraki from being banned from politics and dispossession of undeclared assets.


It is the job of CCB to inform political office holders of discrepancies in their assets declaration form.

Same with Road Safety, the VIO on the road should inform the drivers of some malfunctioning light and expired tires.
