Nigerian lawyers dares the FG, set to shut down the system over CJN Onnoghen and the CCT.

This is coming after a Federal High Court in Abuja stopped the Federal Government’s plan to arraign the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal

The Federal Government through the Code of Conduct Bureau filed six counts of non-declaration of assets against the CJN on Friday.

He was due for arraignment before the CCT on Monday but he was absent from court.

Legal practitioners who addressed journalist after today's hearing, challenged the jurisdiction of the Code of Conduct Tribunal and dared the FG they'll shut down the legal system

Lawyers are not lackeys of judges.

The Justice in question is not helpless. He is being represented by a large number of experienced Lawyers. This is the right approach.

Serious lawyers shouldn't go on strike because of a Justice. And I'm not sure judges/justices would want lawyers to get involved in this way.

Lawyers must operate independent of Judges otherwise the business of Administration of Justice becomes a joke.

I swear it is really annoying to see the likes of Akpabio, Ameachi, Adeosun, Maina, Baru, grasscutter, Oshiomole, Fashole, Yusuf Buhari, Gangdollars, and co walking as saint while the foolish zombies are clapping that the corrupt and lifeless certificate forger is fighting corruption by getting rid of any obstacle to his victory next month.
