Adamu Mohammed, a former commissioner of police in Enugu state, has been appointed acting inspector-general of police (IGP).

He replaces Ibrahim Idris, who has attained the statutory retirement of 60 in the force.. Mohammed hails from Nasarawa state.

He was said to have been appointed from the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, near Jos.

Mohammed was a deputy commissioner of police in Ekiti state and had served at the Interpol. He rose to the rank of assistant inspector general of police (AIG).

Personally I know of AIG Peace Ibekwe Abadallah, an Igbo lioness married to a Northern chairman.

What if the next in line is not cerdible that's why the president picked him. It's a two way thing. It's either the president picked him out of favour or credibility..

Guys stop all this sentiments and for once. The IG of Police is not given by seniority in the police Force. Both the DIG and AIG are qualified for the office. And who told you that an Hausa Man is not among the current DIGs? Even the retired IGP was chosen while he was still the AIG.

So what's the criteria for the appointment of an IGP? Primordial sentiments & sectional interest. In Nigeria professionalism & patriotism is sacrificed on the alter of mediocrity.

The outgoing IGP was appointed from his position of commissioner of police in charge of Kano state. He was never an AIG or DIG. In fact, about 21 AIGs and DIGs were retired for him to be enthroned as IGP. I learnt he was compensated for being a good boy in the 2015 elections in Kano state.

Now they said no that they want 220 billion naira

Mathematics students using proportion and variation, how long will it take for govt to give them 220 billion

Solution
If. 2 months. = 40 billion
Then x months. = 220 billion
Cross multiply

2 ×220 billion = 40 billion × x
440 billion = (40billion)x
Divide both sides by 40 billion
x=440 billion ÷ 40 billion
x = 11 months.

Therefore the strike will end 11 months from now (December 2019) because DAT is wen govt will give ASUU 220 billion.
