FrankGiel: Atiku was at the debate venue and was about entering when we heard that Buhari has refused to come. Buhari is who we want to be in the podium with because he's our main opponent. We are still with him though and things can change depending on his advisers |

NessaBoo:Atiku flew for 12 hours after a gruelling but rewarding trip to the US. He arrived the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton only to find that the lifeless Buhari wasn’t there. Atiku is there physically and ready to take part in 2019Debate, but participating wont make sense if PMB chickened out like a scared virgin who saw a huge dick. 2 Likes 1 Share |

livelymatilda22: Nobody controls anyone! Buhari can't behave as if his Father is the owner of Nigeria and we continue to do nothing about it because we ain't stupid |

The Moderator: "PDP Candidate was indeed in the debate hall till last second, when he decided not to come forward...." ... ...Seriously? Because Buhari failed to turn up? Oga, you just sealed your own defeat in this 2019 election. dmakoy:

JasonScoolari: You're kidding, right! I care not if he flew 1000 hours...he went on the tour to make a political point, he should have maintained his political momentum by simply showing up. Its funny and hypocritical to hitch his absence on the fact that Buhari wasn't present. 3 Likes |

id911:I thought you said Atiku is more brainy than Buhari, where exactly should Atiku loyalty lie, to Buhari or the people. He should have proceeded with the debate and he would have won over the heart of numerous youth that are still sitting on the fence. Face the fact, both old men cannot hold a debate and Atiku already knew Buhari ain’t gonna show, all what he did by showing up at the venue is mere face saving to convince people (zombies) like you. JasonScoolari: Its hypocritical because you guys have dehumanized Buhari, apparently Atiku is now an embodiment of morals and getting things right...but he clearly got it wrong by not showing up! Wipe the egg off your face Jace! |

id911:So someone left America to Nigeria so he can attend the debate but boycotted due to the absence of the main candidate..smart?? Have u forgotten so soon that Jonathan under the PDP did a debate alone?? I thought debate was about showcasing what u have to offer? |

sassysure: An Overrated Presidential Debate. Firstly, Buhari is not the first Presidential candidate to avoid such a debate. OBJ also did. Secondly, how many voters in Nigeria are swayed by debates less than a month to the election? Thirdly, Prof Sagay made a good point. What sense is there in debating with public speakers like Durotoye whose living depends on public speaking? Especially if your electoral chances look a lot better but u are not as young as u used to be . Fourthly, how many Nigerians will consider performance at a presidential debate above their usual biases such as party affiliations, religion, ethnicity and morality? Fifthly, who remembers what the young speakers at the debate said? How many of the points they made became talking points after the debate beside the absence of Buhari and the dramatic volte face of Atiku? Sixthly, what were the electoral gains waiting for Buhari from the debate? If he had done very well would it have changed the minds of his haters or wailers? Lastly the next NASS must include a mandate in our electoral laws to make Presidential debates a must for at least 7 candidates. Such a law must make it also possible for due representation of a candidate who for one reason or the other is unable to make the debate. After all they are supposed to be representing/explaining their parties/manifestoes. This would prevent the melodrama put up by Atiku and his traveling theatre |
