I resubmitted some old docs I used before. With God, it turned out well and in less than a month 21st Dec to 18th January (despite the holidays in between), we received passport request. Thanks for the advises. Please don't give up after a refusal. Try and be detailed as possible the first time and hope for the best.

I used the 5k budget as you advised. I did full sponsorship myself this time.

I think you should have ordered your GCMS note to know the exact reasons for refusal. What is written on d letter us usually just generic reasons. If u cant wait for the GCMS then apply again but I dont think you should write childbirth. Do u hold a current US visa? That could help too.

I just tracked my application and realized my passport has been ready for pick since January 18th How long can I leave the passport at vfs before I collect as I won't be going to Lagos until 12th of February. Can I wait till then?

If you have a trusted person in Lagos.. write then an authorization letter on a photocopy of your passport with their name and signature to pick it up on your behalf.

From my turkish vfs experience, they will return it to the embassy after 30days of no pick up. Call vfs lagos for accurate info..

You can have them mail it to you too..
You could also write dhl an authorization letter to pick up in your behalf.

He didn't say that. That us something u need to figure out as that us what the VO is thinking about. You have your hib, school and family ti return to. Write a letter explaining that these assets - economic and social are your ties to Nigeria and will bring you back. Of course u stand a chance.

On January 2nd this year the embassy just contacted my bank to verify my bank statement. It was after the bank proof my statement of account to them, then the bank gave me a call to notify me. It means the embassy are still working on my application. I also submitted online. So never blame ur agent. A friend of mine got approval last week. The process takes 9months. Imagine? So I wish u the best

Time frame for visa applications in UK is currently 8 days and from my own application this includes saturday and sunday when counting the time taken for ur application.

I put this in prayers on cross over night as one of my prayer points having read loads of peoples  application, denials and success stories on here i decided to give it a go. I didnt ask any questions but read from scratch almost all the threads on canada visit/travel including ppl applying for student visas spouse visa visiting visas etc.

If God can do it for me, i am certain He can do it for anyone, you just need to plan, prepare, RESEARCH properly and lastly pray...If its yours its yours.

I hope i have been able to encourage someone here, i know there are loads of ppl who have waited countless months and days and still waiting to get a response on their application, do not loose hope as far as you put in proper docs and do your research well  coupled with the favour of God you will get it.

There is absolutely no need for an agent (sorry to all the agents reading this not spoiling market for you), every thing you need is online...here to be precise, with loads of successful applicants and gurus such as Justwise and co...

At some point after submission...i kinda started second doubting myself and but still had faith...even checking my application status daily but in the end it paid off and i am happy now i can add to my travel history and stamps in my passport ☺
