No president can match this president in nepotism, this man values his northern and arab brothers in niger and chad than nigerians in the south,i feel very sorry for people that support this guy, i am sorry for them,a patriotic president will never ever do this, this man serves and pleases only the core north,to hell with him and his presidency, it is time for NIGERIA to break up,the only reason why he didnt choose to site the refinery in area's that have crude inside nigeria is because such places only exist far from HIS beloved North, i sorry for all those southern sai buharist, nobody foolish pass them.

And what is a refinery doing in Kastina in the first place even if there is oil in nearby Niger Republic? Of what economic benefit if no the nepotism and crave not to divert from the dependance on oil-economy? Buhari is still a failure.

Kaduna refinery can't work most of the time because Nigerians destroy the pipeline! This pipeline will be short, so easily monitored, remove our dependence on Niger Delta crude for local consumption, reduce our dependence on importation of petroleum products, create investment, create employments, etc.

Can someone explain to me why we are begging China to commit to supply their stake in Niger oil to us when we have more oil than Niger and China combined x 100. What kind of investment decision is siting a refinery in a part of your country without oil and then begging another country whose reserve is not up to a 100th of yours to supply u?? If China agrees today and reneges tomorrow what happens?

There are at least 20 more viable cities to site this project than the President's home state

The Katsina refinery is a private venture and Niger republic is involved in the deal

Liars, if the oil belong to Niger why not let them construct their refinery? Have we been able to successfully managed the refineries in Nigeria?

Its a privately owned refinery. A lot of you lack the ability to read

Government of the North, by the North and for the North.
Refinery in port Harcourt and warri are not functional and they're planning to build another one in an area without oil.
Zombies won't see anything wrong with this because they're programmed to keep shouting Sai Baba

A private venture and a privately owned refinery. Government money is not involved.

What a foolish response!

So since the government cannot secure it's pipelines, it's better to abandon our oil reserves and established refining capacity to go and spend taxpayers funds to set up a refinery dependent on oil from Niger which is 80% controlled by China? Even to you does that make sense?

These northerners keep meeting stumbling blocks on their trips to achieve their selfish aims. I don't have a problem with the bilateral corporation with Niger on oil and gas. But it is best for us to exhaust our own potentials at the minimum cost. What is wrong with getting our refineries to work or build modern refineries in the Niger delta and distribute refined petroleum via pipelines to other parts of Nigeria. This vision to have permanent oil supply in the north can be fulfilled within our borders to the benefit of all Nigerian people. More refineries, more pipeline projects, abundance of refined petroleum products, more people will be employed. But the people in charge do not have this interest. Their main interest is their own region. Very sad.
