i think he did this because no club that actually merits his caliber of players are free now , most serious transfers are done in the summer , so this move is actually to keep in form and get enough playing time before nest summer transfer window, i am sure he wont sign for more than a year

Drogba, Eto, Tures etc played till almost 40. Our Okocha retired at 33, Kanu, Yakubu, etc retires also too early. Something must be wrong with their official declared ages

The Nigeria international had a medical on Tuesday after agreeing personal terms with the club.

MySportDab report the 31-year-old, who won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2012, was a free agent after leaving Chinese side Tianjin Teda last month.

Mikel made 249 Premier League appearances for Chelsea in an 11-year spell where he also won two leaguetitles, three FA Cups and the Europa League in 2013.
